We advise guests to wear foot protection (pool socks or aqua shoes) when entering the ocean to avoid injury on coral heads, ironshore, or rocks. ***Ocean Debris and Sargassum Seaweed*** Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally. Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency in recent years. Although sargassum is an unsightly nuisance, it is largely seasonal in summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival. Should sargassum be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation. We try our best to work around mother nature.

Absolutely perfect for 2 couples wanting to get away. The pool was amazing and love seeing the water from the pool. It was so quiet. Definitely would stay here again.
I wish there wasn’t seaweed in the water. That would have made this place PERFECT!!
Have stayed in pools before/ peaceful & quiet
Was disappointed rum point was not open though
But starfipoint made up for that
Have to drive everywhere to eat a decent dinner w/ rum point closed

Just what we were looking for!!
We loved everything about this unit from the location to the views to the pool. The unit was clean and very comfortable. It was a great jumping off point for activities and perfect for relaxing. We had a minor issue with the air conditioning in the downstairs bedroom but the owner and property manager were very responsive and the issue was quickly resolved.
Definitely recommend and hope to return soon.
My husband and I stayed in a one bedroom six years ago and it was fantastic. We loved it so much we wanted to bring our adult children along and rent the two bedroom. It was fantastic also. We love the private pool and the serenity of the area. It's so nice to be able to walk to Kaibo Beach for dinner and drinks. The staff at Grand Cayman Villas and Condos were very friendly and welcoming and made check in a breeze. They offer complimentary items such as kayaks, snorkeling gear, and many more. We did not have any issues during our stay there. We will miss Pools Of The Kai and hope to come back someday!
We had a wonderful stay at this very well-appointed, beach/bay front property, and especially enjoyed the awesome pool (even a bit bigger than it looks in photos) and the proximity to the water. A few of the days, a dozen starfish came to visit in the shallow water just steps from our back door! We enjoyed the peaceful and more quiet area, but also the proximity to Kaibo and Rum Point.
There were a few small maintenance issues that we observed upon arrival, and the property manager offered to send someone to fix them during our stay, but we preferred not to be disturbed during our vacation. They kindly offered a late check out, but we needed to leave by 10am for the airport anyway.
We really enjoyed our time here, and hope to come back again in the future!
Very clean and kitchen stocked well. Little things needed attention like no light bulbs in rooms, no hot water at all, had to take room temperature showers all week. Holes in the screen lanai so could not enjoy evening with the bugs. Could not adjust air conditioner temps and the beds were very uncomfortable. Unit needs some updating .
Nice location

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Your feedback helps us to stay on top of "little things" that may need maintenance which always arise in popular vacation rental units.
It is a pity you did not contact our property managers during your stay, they would have been delighted to come to show you
a) how to adjust the downstairs air conditioning on the "Nest" thermostat.
b) how to adjust the upstairs air conditioning on the thermostat. condensation and system freezing prevent temps in the 60s.
c) very hot water from the limitless flow-through water heater by turning the mixer levers in the showers and the mixer tap in the kitchen to maximum hot.
There are always spare lightbulbs in the property but the managers would have been happy to change any as needed. We have purchased a replacement to the beach light which was broken due to salt corrosion.
On inspection the screened-in Lanai does not appear to have any holes. However the there was an abnormally high levels of mosquitos at the time of your stay, so bugs may have got into the screened in area at times when the screened door to the beach was open.
All our other guests have found the beds very comfortable, so we are sorry this was not your experience.
We are glad you appreciated the location, the clean unit and the well stocked kitchen. The photos on the website which were taken in 2023 show the unit accurately in its current updated condition, having been completely re-decorated in the past 6 months. We hope the complimentary champagne got your vacation off to a good start!

Loved location, but a few hiccups
Overall- this was a lovely vacation and all worked out well. We really enjoyed ourselves.
The location absolutely can’t be beat. It is far away from the cruise ships, on a beautiful beach, about a block from the yacht club if you want a quick night or day out, snorkeling out the back door, starfish steps from the water and more. Perfect in every way.
The House
The house itself served us well. Two large bedrooms and baths. A full service kitchen, screened in pool, grill, utilitarian bathrooms, lots of TVs, beautiful views and more. Nothing extravagant, but appointed with all the basics.
Management
This is where we encountered a few hiccups. When we arrived, we weren’t expected- so the home was dirty. It was 4:30, so we needed to leave for 3 hours to have it cleaned. By the time we got into the house and settled, the first day was lost. They were kind enough to cover our tab for dinner that night to make up for it. Day 2, we head to the grocery store, load up the fridge, and to our surprise everything melted. The refrigerator died. Ugh! We let the property manager know. Day 3 and 4 random people kept coming to the house to take care of things- one day to manage the pool, one day to spray for insects, etc. All very understandable, but would have been nice to know when to expect them so we could have been out. Then, on our last full day, we got a knock at the door at 10am. Hhmmmm. It was the property manager delivering a new fridge. My kids were still in their jammies and there was an entourage of people. Not a problem- always happy to help- but there was no warning, no asking good timing, etc. It ended u Braking about 2ish hours of helping out on our last day of vacation. (I must say that the local propert manager is a kind, gentle man who is passionate about caring for the properties. But standards are a bit different!)
Bottom line - we had a lovely vacation that I would highly rate but it would be disenguous for me not to mention our few hiccups.

Thanks very much for your comments regarding Pools of the Kai #6. No excuse for our on-island manager not knowing of your arrival. Grand Cayman Villas and Condos (booking agency) alerted all parties, guest services, owner and manager upon your booking. That is why the owner insisted that we refund you US$ 250 immediately for the 3-4 hours you were inconvenienced while the housekeepers turned the villa. Glad you could next door to the Kaibo for drinks and dinner.
The fridge dying is news to the booking company; was not reported by guest...however manager & owner ordered a new one ASAP. We live on an island and they could deliver earliest on Friday at 10AM... which they did. The pool needs to be serviced/cleaned weekly and same with the gardening. Those trades drive 45 minutes from town and do many homes each day. While we can know what day they are scheduled, it is still an island and delays happen. We also can't "send them away" or it wont be done for the next guest.
Our apologies for the perfect storm of manager to having the villa prepared for arrival (preventable) and the fridge dying (not preventable). These owners spare no expense in taking care of their villa and pull the trigger quickly on replacement items. Things could have been much worse during this busy spring break week...so I am just glad these were the only items. The house is still great and popular with our guests. Again our apologies and know that we act quickly when things are not right.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pools of the Kai #6 -- a beautiful villa with all of the ammenities you could want, including snorkel gear. It's away from the crowded beaches of Seven Mile Beach, yet there are some nice beaches in the surrounding area. I do hope a few more restaurants would pop up in the vicinity. We hope to go back soon!
We had an awesome time at this condo!! Beautiful view and wonderful time! We enjoyed snorkeling out front and seeing all the beautiful starfish! Short walk to Kaibo and the awesome dining at the Upstairs restaurant!
The place was very nice of you wanted off the beaten path, which we wanted. Loved having our own pool since the weather was rainy most of our trip. We we're disappointed that the ocean out front was not more conducive to playing around in. But did see lots of star fish and a sting ray! It was nice having Kiabo in a short walking distance -did the Friday night dinner and it was excellent! We were a little frustrated when we arrived at the place, the cleaning crew was not don’t till after 4:30pm when check in was 3. And I finished up the laundry in the dryer so it would not get moldy. But overall we really enjoyed the place would would stay in it again.
The rental was a perfect getaway, it was nice and quite and only a short walk from the yacht club where you could get some drinks or decent food, rum point was only a short drive away for a little more action and the restaurant there was amazing and I recommend the bioluminescence kayak tour at rum point but by far Pedro St. James castle was my favorite stop to do a rum tasting it was so much fun. All and all pools of Kai is
my absolute favorite vacation to date.
We stayed in this condo for 9 nights and enjoyed it very much! It was our first visit to the Grand Cayman and this condo caught my eye on Home Away. I was not really familiar with the island when I booked it. It is on a much quieter side of the island which was perfect for my husband and I. We rented a car and drove to the Condo which was not difficult. We drove one day from the Condo over to the 18 hole golf course across from seven mile beach and that was interesting and challenging until we got used to all the roundabouts but we had a great time at the golf course. We drove a couple of days from our condo around the east end of the island which was relaxed and pleasant and we really enjoyed eating at Tukka overlooking the beach on the East side. This condo is a very short walk on the beach to an outdoor and upscale indoor restaurant and to the ferry. We really enjoyed eating at both restaurants and enjoyed free outdoor live music two nights at the outdoor restaurant. We took the ferry 3 times to the seven mile beach area to shop and explore. The people who ran the ferry were very nice and it was fun. When we walked on the seven mile beach it made me appreciate coming back to this condo because I don't really enjoy sitting among a crowd of chairs. We really enjoyed relaxing on the 2 lounge chairs on the beach behind this condo looking out at the water and watching the boats go by. Most of the time we were the only ones on the beach in our sight. The condo itself is just as listed. We had good WiFi and good cable TV. The kitchen was great. We did order groceries to be delivered before we got there which was a good idea because the grocery store is not close. I have been to Aruba 3 times and really liked it but I now like this island better especially since it doesn't have a constant wind like Aruba and it is closer. The food on the island is very good and the water is safe. I would come back and I would stay in the same condo. It was pretty, felt very safe, and was a great place to relax but still be able to get to all the other areas of the island by car or ferry.
Our stay was fantastic! The location was perfect for us. We wanted to be out of the busy seven mile beach and this was the perfect location. The listing was perfectly clean and ready when we arrived. We had preordered some groceries and drinks since we were arriving later in the day. The property manager handled it seamlessly and everything was waiting for us when we walked in.
I read reviews about the tv. We weren’t too worried about it but played with it to just figure it out. We did and sure it buzzed a bit because the volume wasn’t set the same on each remote. It’s was in no way a big deal or a hinderance to our stay in any way. We weren’t interested in watching tv anyway. But if you are worried about it, both bedrooms have tv that works just fine. Or you can sign out one of the apple tvs from the guest center.
The beauty of the island is entertainment enough for us!
The shore was covered with starfish.
The grill provided was in good condition and cleaned for us.
Just a short walk down the beach is a very nice restaurant and bar.
There were a few nights where there was either a wedding or a band. Everyone was so friendly they just let you join in the festivities.
You could hear the music if you were sitting out back which we actually really enjoyed. Inside it was not a bother at all.
I cannot wait to come back and we will be booking this location again!
We loved the property and location. Everything we needed was there, including a kayak and paddle board. The upstairs bedroom is the perfect spot to watch the sunrise.
The property manager was very helpful and responsive (although the cable company was not... the TV went out for a couple of days and my husband missed a big football game).
All in all, it was a great get away. The little private pool is perfect for floating or exercising. I spent a lot of time in the pool so I noticed that it's time to paint the rafters above it. Take mosquito repellent and all will be well. We will certainly go back.
We had a lovely week away at this lovely little condo. It had its own private pool!! We had a few hiccups during the week with a broken dishwasher and algae growth in the pool but our Property Manager, Mr Roland was only a phone call away and helped us out. The unit had two bedrooms but since it was only my hubby and I, we took the top bedroom. What a view waking up every morning to the beauty of the palm trees outside our window. Absolutely amazing. Very quiet area, we felt it was very peaceful and we immediately de-stressed. A few feet from our beautiful shoreline you could see many starfish. We snorkelled right off shore and saw many fish and even a few stingrays.
The only small complaint was I felt it could use a tad updating and perhaps a fresh coat of paint and a sofa steam clean.
We will definitely return!!!!

Perfect location close to the Kaibo marina, restaurant, Starfish Point and Rum Point!
Stopped at Silver Thatch property manager on the way there and received a welcome bag and coupons for restaurants and activities. Check in was a breeze and condo was clean. Excellent location to avoid the crowds and we loved the pool. It was refreshing and perfect temperature without heating it. Great view, close to bioluminescence bay and tons of Starfish in the water in front of the condo. Enjoyed fishing and kayaking in the calm water. Saw sea turtles, tons of fish and several stingrays. Quiet property, plenty of parking and easy walk to dinner.
The minute we got there we felt that the place was not clean. There was dried food on the kitchen counters, throw rugs were dirty, the couch was dirty (we put sheets on the couch for the week). The bed spreads and bed pillows were dirty. We then discovered we had no hot water. Unable to call out we had to communicate via email. We had no hot water for 2.5 days, no showers! Snorkeling directly outside the condo was terrible so we had to pay for an excursion. We were disappointed we could not swim outside the condo either. Pluses were the screened in porch and pool area and the washer and dryer. Overall Grand Cayman was very expensive and the place disappointing.

Everything you need for a perfect holiday, amazing!
From the initial booking to arriving and opening the front door it was truly exceptional . The accommodation is perfectly located you never need to wear shoes. The villa is extremely comfortable, very clean and spacious. If you choose to go out there is so much to do with all the information to do that provided, but with a heated swimming pool and the ocean outside your door, why would you. I would recommend it as a six star holiday with everything on your doorstep, it was truly sublime.

Private Paradise
Couldn't have been better. Great place, great weather... We were there for 9 days and got so comfortable and relaxed that we never even made it to 7 Mile Beach. There is a restaurant you can walk to and another that's a 2 minute drive, so we didn't feel the need to join the fray of cruise ship "disembarkers" on 7 Mile. G Cayman is expensive, so don't go thinking that all your expense is in airfare and accommodations. Gas is like 4.85/gallon and grocery/restaurant prices are a bit shocking, but if you go with the idea that you're just going to have fun and not count pennies, then you're be in good shape. Can't say enough about the condo and it's location. We'd go back in a heart beat.

A great Property, 4 Star
The rental company was great. The property manager was great. Kai #6 is an excellent property in a good location. For the owner: The pool heater did not keep the pool warm all day, do not pay for heated pool unless heater is updated. To watch the four televisions you had to be a nerd. You need a TYPED operation sheet for each TV, and a list of channels [ none available ]. When AC kicks on it sounds like a 747 taking off, and you could hear water running. If you fix the above you would have a solid 5 Star Property. We have rented properties all over the world and your property excluding the three issues ranks in the top five. The Alexanders
