Cozy Lake Front Cabins perfect for summer, fall and winter

Escape to Nature at The Cabins At Lows Lake!

Looking for a serene getaway where nature and tranquility meet? Imagine staying by a private, environmentally protected lake, surrounded by breathtaking sunsets and peaceful stillness. At The Cabins At Lows Lake near Emily, MN, you'll find exactly that. Whether you're fishing in some of Minnesota’s best waters, kayaking or canoeing on the calm lake, or embracing winter activities like ice fishing, cross-country skiing, and ice skating, there's something for everyone in every season.

Our cabins are nestled in a secluded, private area, where the only "traffic" you’ll encounter are the sounds of birds singing or fish jumping. No highway noise, just the beauty of nature, calm, and quiet – perfect for both family vacations or solo retreats.

About Cabin #953682: This cozy, rustic two-bedroom cabin offers the ideal lakefront experience. It’s not a house but a true cabin, providing a welcoming blend of comfort and wilderness. The cabin is clean, spacious, and equipped with modern amenities, yet still retains that cozy cabin feel. You’ll enjoy beautiful views of the lake from the large living room or the attached screened-in sunroom, making it the perfect spot to relax, reconnect with nature, and unwind.

About Cabin #959120: If you're looking for something more intimate, we also offer a smaller lakefront cabin (#959120) perfect for solo travelers, couples, or even large family events. This cabin provides the same level of seclusion and serenity as our larger cabin, with all the charm of being right on the lake, surrounded by nature’s beauty.

Summer at The Cabins At Lows Lake: Summer here feels like your own private retreat. With no public fishing allowed, the lake is yours to enjoy. You can fish for northern pike, bass, and sunfish or spend your days kayaking, paddleboarding, or simply floating on the water. As the day winds down, gather around a bonfire and watch the sunset light up the sky. It’s pure serenity.

Fall at The Cabins At Lows Lake: Fall is truly a spectacular experience here. The vibrant colors of the changing leaves surround the lake, with hues of red, orange, and gold reflected in the water, creating a stunning view. As the crisp fall air fills your lungs and the scent of fallen leaves fills the forest, you’ll feel the peacefulness of the season. Take a quiet walk through the woods, listening to the crunch of leaves beneath your feet, or sit by the lake and watch as the colorful foliage gently drifts down. It’s the perfect time for reflection and relaxation.

Winter Wonderland: Winters here are nothing short of magical. Cozy up by the wood-burning stove with a warm drink and watch the wildlife stroll across the frozen lake. If you’re feeling adventurous, bring your cross-country skis and glide across the snow-covered landscape. Ice fishing on a private lake is an experience like no other, and kids will love playing in the snow or building a snowman right outside the cabin.

Cabin Features:

Master bedroom with queen-sized bed and walk-in bathroom.

Second bedroom with a bunk bed and twin bed.

Large kitchen, fully stocked, microwave, coffee pot, blender, toaster and ... for your convenience.

Spacious living and dining area with a wood-burning stove, smart TV, bluetooth speaker, and plenty of books, games, and DVDs for entertainment.

Two decks: One overlooking the lake, and another facing the peaceful woods.

Screened-in sunroom with stunning lake views.

Fire pit for bonfires, perfect for evening gatherings.

Outdoor Fun Awaits: Rowboats, canoes, and kayaks are included at no extra charge.

Wonderful time away

Our family had a great experience and the owner was very nice and friendly. We had a quiet stay and talked briefly with the neighboring visitors. There was lot of room outside to explore and the cabin was roomy enough for everyone to have some down time and take a nap ;)

Perfect get-away cabin.

Nice, simple cabin with great porches and a BEAUTIFUL view. It was a perfect place to have a short get-away for my wife and me. (It would work well as a place to bring the family as well.) We enjoyed canoeing, hiking nearby, sitting in the hammock, and relaxing on the porches. I am sending the link to friends.

Very secluded, nice place to get away, off the grid if wanted.

We were a bit disappointed with the pull behind camper parking right out front of our cabin as well as the one vehicle rule only for your guests and not for family/friends staying on the property. Otherwise, we were very happy, very relaxed, the owners were very accommodating and the place is what was advertised. The lake was very nice. There was a rowboat, canoe and kayak for guests use. The last morning , we woke up to a group of swans having a slow swim on the lake.

Solitude and the lake

We were lucky to be the only guests on the property. We enjoyed unbelievable solitude, privacy and having the whole lake to ourselves. When bugs were bad, we spent time on the screened-in porch. Enjoyed seeing geese, loons, a muskrat and hearing owls in the woods. The Snapping Turtle cabin is a great place to unplug, no TV or internet - and none needed. Bring water shoes and industrial strength bug spray and enjoy the lake!

Beautiful cabin getaway on the lake

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at this lakefront cabin. The cabin itself was beautiful, recently renovated and comfortable but rustic looking, with a lovely deck (including gas grill) overlooking Lows lake, spacious dining area and kitchen. The property was spacious, with wooded and grassy areas, direct access to a dock, and a firepit. The owners were staying 2 cabins down from us and were very welcoming and friendly. We had easy access to a kayak and canoe for exploring Lows lake, which was blissfully peaceful and quiet (no overdevelopment, no loud motorboats or waterskiiers). The property felt remote, but not overly so, with basic amenities and shopping available just a few miles away. We highly recommend this cabin!

Wonderful screened in porch

My sisters and I used the screened in porch more than the anything else at this location. Great listening to the light rain fall and stay dry, as well as talk into the night without bugs getting to us. The property was fantastic, secluded and an absolutely beautiful lake. The interior was clean, and the kitchen a very good size. We couldn’t swim because algae had started to come in, as is normal for August. Please note; the window screens, screened in porch, the deck facing the lake and the dock could use some “professional” repairs; the pictures don’t show the current age of these things. I would come back the next time I needed to recapture my serenity!

Very fun rustic cabin

My friends and I had a great time! Right on the water with decent fishing. Owners were super friendly. As the description says, it’s a rustic cabin in the woods, so keep in mind you’ll be dealing with some pests. We had multiple kitchen items (pots and pans) that had mouse droppings on them. Not something I can knock the owners for as we were expecting this due to the nature of where we are. The cabin was very clean overall but is certainly rustic. Something else to keep in mind is that the other cabins are right next door. This isn’t portrayed all that well so we didn’t expect the 3 to be lined up right next to each other. They were vacant so it didn’t really bother us much. But something to think about if you want total privacy. This is just a few things that we wanted to put out for other renters. Nothing really bothered us enough to effect our stay. I would still highly recommend staying at this cabin as we had a great time.

WFH away from home

We stayed in the main cabin for 2 weeks. The views of the lake were beautiful. And we really couldn't get enough of looking at how pretty it was. I want to address some of the 'it is so rustic comments'. First, how I didn't find it rustic: 1)The AC is one of those little floor units and it kept the place at a reasonable temperature despite some hot days (high 80s). It was lovely to have. 2)There is, as of when we visited, a small microwave 3) Having 2 toilets can be rare for smaller cabins so it was really appreciated 4) excellent Internet via the ISP and we had good cell connection and internet with Verizon and T-Mobile. The whole two weeks the internet only dropped once for less than a minute. 5) the screened in porch has had new furniture since the photos. And it connects directly to the house which I wasn't 100% sure on from the photos. It is a welcome respite from the bugs. 6) the hosts are stellar What makes it rustic that you might like to know about: 1) If you are a big and tall person (over 6ft2in) the main bathroom is gonna feel tight and there's a low beam at the back of the house. I'm 5ft3in and was just fine. 2) if you are a person with balance/mobility issues the floors are a little uneven 3) the beds are probably in need of new mattresses. We went out and bought foam pads since we were there for a long time. Emily MN is close by and sports several restaurants and a wonderful little meat shop called Emily Meats. A real grocery is about 30 min to the south.

Relaxing stay on a beautiful lake

We had a great time at the Cabin on Lows Lake. It was so quiet and peaceful. The views were wonderful. The cabin is rustic, so if you're looking for a modern space, this isn't for you, but if was perfect for our family of teenage boys who loved canoeing, kayaking, fishing and swimming. Deborah and David were great and so responsive.

Quick friends weekend

Cabin 1 was so charming and comfortable! Lots of rooms to relax depending on the weather and activity. The kitchen was stocked with lots of great cooking ware for meals and the water was hot for showers. Ticks were few for the time of year in Minnesota. The mosquitos were brutal at night but the screened porch allowed us to still hang outside. The dock was great to hang out on during the day and the lake was refreshingly comfortable!

Our family has been going to Outing and Emily for the past 20 years vacationing.
We never really thought about buying a cabin, let alone a resort, but this amazing opportunity arrived and we simply could not say no. The sounds of the Loons, the swans, the way the lake goes to sleep at night and all of the beautiful wildlife just makes us feel so lucky and we love how people feel when they stay at one of our cabins. Available all year round.
This really is a magical place to enjoy.
