We had a very pleasant stay and so did our furry friend.
Loved the bottle of wine left for us, it went very well with the cheese and olives we picked up at the different places we visited near by.
The cottage was very warm and clean and the fireplace was just lovely on the cool evenings.
Would definitely love to stay again.
What a absolute beautiful original cottage that has been renovated with all the mod cons that you would need.
The mattresses are incredible, they are super comfortable very clean best I’ve ever slept on.
The yard for your dogs is fully fenced huge block. Just a few spot we had to put so firewood to stop my very very little tiny toy poodle from getting out.
You couldn’t ask for anything more plenty of breakfast things to eat, milk, loads of firewood. The home is spotlessly clean. Wood fire, plus central heating and aircon. The little town and the residents are so lovely and kind.
Very happy with our stay!!!!
Great home, perfectly clean and comfortable in every way. Great location and the garden was peaceful and private. Very warm house with ducted air and wood fire, wood cut perfectly and fire set on arrival. Would highly recommend!
The cottage was clean, comfortable and warm. Enjoyed the fire. The dogs had fun in the garden and we enjoyed the many different birds that visited, around 20 different species. Would particularly recommend the Holtermann museum for a visit, excellent digital tech and a reminder that Mayne Street Gulgong was Australia’s busiest thoroughfare at the height of the gold rush.
Perfect little cottage for 2 couples. Well stocked kitchen (thanks!) With a bottle of wine on arrival. Easy walk to Gulgong shops and cafes. Comfortable beds, great bathroom. Bbq and outdoor area were also winners.
I have been working arround the area for over 14 years, .... this is by far, the cleanest place I've ever stayed in.
Great ballance between original and modern interior.
Chefs style oven and kitchen amenities.
Great outdoor area, with gass barbecue.
The list is too long, .... well done.
Great place to stay.

What an absolute gem! Our stay was amazing. Nicole and Andrew have made a beautiful historic building a home.
The bottle of wine upon arrival was a fantastic start to our weekend away.
We cant wait to return!
We had the most wonderful stay at Cooney's Cottage in Gulgong. A beautiful cottage in lovely surroundings with everything you could possibly need and more. A welcoming bottle of local wine that prompted us to visit the winery. Centrally located. We were able to walk to the shops and pubs and it was only a short drive to Mudgee. We were able to bring our dog and he loved being by the fire. We really enjoyed staying here and can highly recommend this lovely cottage to others. Many thanks to the owners. Karen Lawler
Authentic stay, beautifully presented
Historic cottage with a picturesque garden, Attention to detail throughout the cottage including a welcoming local vino! Such an interesting town full of colourful layers of goldmining history.
The location was perfect, we enjoyed the tranquility and beauty of the garden . We used the BBQ and enjoyed the aircon ducted system on the warm days and night . Totally recommend this property and would stay again .
Old world but modern, beautifully decorated with attention to detail. Comfy beds, great shower & really good outdoor areas
Home away from home, convenient to shops & eateries.
Highly recommend this property.
Nestled in the wonderful historic town of Gulgong this quaint two bedroom cottage has it all. Located just a short walk from the main town centre it is located in a quiet section of town. Surrounded by a diverse and colourful garden it provides its guests a beautiful and private retreat.
We were very surprised upon entering even though the exterior looked inviting. A delight and expertly restored and extended. Beautiful bathroom and kitchen perfect. A little table and chairs in kitchen instead of island bench would be even better. Very tastefully decorated also . Fire so warm, outdoors perfect for dog, we loved it. We had to leave early so didn’t get to see much of town but it looked very cute. Thankyou
Everything you could want and more in a holiday stay
Beautifully appointed, tastefully decorated and very, very comfortable. The dogs with us loved the big garden and the fire and we felt thoroughly spoilt with teevees in the room. We trialed our dogs all day and it was wonderful to return home to this haven which is close to pubs and shops. We'll be back.
We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Its even more beautiful in person. The decor is very tasteful in a vintage style. It was well stocked with cutlery crockery and even some pantry items. We enjoyed the outside bbq and i felt comfortable to have our dog roam the fenced in yard. Gulgong itself is straight out of the old days with little shops and well maintained historic buildings. Truly a great stay.
Trish, Max the guide dog and I really enjoyed our stay at Koonie's cottage. It was the cutest little house and Nicole and Andrew's instructions and history of the cottage made our stay extra enjoyable (not to mention the bottle of local wine). We came home feeling refreshed and it was fascinating to get in close contact with the region's history.
Property was spotlessly clean on arrival. Nice to have the fire prepared already for us on arrival although we didn’t get to use it as the weather was quite warm for late April. Kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials and the bathroom is lovely. Outside barbecue area/kitchen is very nice although this is the only dining area in the cottage. Lovely to sit in the sun on the front verandah and enjoy a coffee. Short walk to town to the historic area of Gulgong. Highly recommend this cottage.
If you love historic buildings this small cottage is lovely - cosy and comfortable. The only thing it lacks is a dining room - plenty of outdoor eating space, but no dining table inside.
