Sunset Island in Ocean City MD is a privately gated 37 acre community which offers guests outdoor pools with kiddie pool 3 private beaches interactive water fountains a convenient corner store and bay front restaurant/ pool bar to enjoy the amazing sunsets and bay views in Ocean City! It is easy to see why Sunset Island is one of the most sought after and desirable places to be in all of Ocean City. Included in your reservation is 6 facility passes for the Sunset Island facilities. Additional packages can be purchased at $70 each. Children 3 years old and under do not need a pass.

* A linen package is available to purchase as an add-on to your reservation at the time of booking. Linen packages include one (1) set of sheets for each bed listed and one (1) set of towels for each guest, up to the maximum occupancy of the unit. Sheet sets include one (1) fitted, one (1) flat sheet and two (2) pillowcases. Twin sheet sets come with one (1) pillowcase. Towel sets include one (1) bath towel, one (1) hand towel and one (1) wash cloth per guest up to the maximum occupancy.

* Pools are open seasonally. Dates on availability are determined by each individual building. Coast Resort is not responsible and cannot guarantee availability at any time.

* Indoor Pool Closure Notice
Please be advised that the indoor pool will be closed from February 16, 2026 through March 8, 2026 for resurfacing. The pool is scheduled to reopen on March 9, 2026, assuming there are no complications with the project. We appreciate your understanding during this time.

Exceptional bayside community in OC

Great location for our family, with 24 hr security and a nice neighborhood feel. So conveniently located in the middle of OC, near 90 bridge. Short walk to the ocean beach, and so many nice amenities right in the community. The condo was lovely, with many extras and such easy access to everything. So comfortable - perfect for a family of 6. Thank you!

Very nice condo

Our stay was a last minute decision so I was afraid the only units left would not be so nice. We booked this one based on the previous reviews and it just happened to have the days available that we were looking for. It was for my family of 4 plus my nephew and girlfriend and it was a perfect size. The condo was very nice (other than one toilet not being cleaned hence my 4 star rating instead of a 5.) Other than that the place was very neat and clean in all other areas. It was also on the farther side of Sunset Island which added a few extra minutes when walking to the ocean, but that would not deter me from staying again. The condo was ready slightly before the original check in time which was a pleasant surprise. It was nice that they let us know so we could check in just a bit earlier. I’m not one to always leave reviews, but I’m also one that bases a lot of my decision on where to stay after reading others’ reviews. So that being said, I would definitely stay at this condo again.

Beautiful, spacious condo

Loved the location and how everything within Sunset Island was walkable. The condo we stayed in was beautiful, but the owner definitely needs to shampoo the carpets. They made our feet and socks filthy, but everything else seemed to be clean. Great location right next to Hidden Cove where Yoga took place on certain mornings. The bay beaches were the perfect place for young kids to enjoy their day without having to worry about them in the water. Unfortunately Marisol's no longer rents out kayaks or paddle boards despite it being advertised everywhere, so we had to figure out rentals elsewhere which was inconvenient since we weren't aware. Otherwise it was a great family trip!

Great location! Can’t say enough how easy it was to get everywhere. Great Waterview nice place to be to take a walk. Close to the little market. Loved being close to a little beach. Thank you ,thank you Property manager and management was very accommodating and available. All in all a great experience!

Overall very happy

Overall we were very happy with the condo we rented. The location was amazing. Sunset island is beautiful, the bay right next to the pool was perfect for our family. However, the pool hours listed on the brochure were 10-8 which was incorrect. The hours are 11-7, which was fine, except that when I arrived at the pool at 10:55 am on the first day, there was a line. I waited and was then informed that the “renters” were not allowed into the pool until 11:30am. Only “owners” were allowed to enter at 11:00. I had to wait 30 minutes standing on the side until 11:30 before I could enter with my family. It was sort of a shock, considering how much money renters pay for a 5 day vacation. I was informed by the woman at the gate it was the HOA that made that rule, which to me is disgraceful, as the “renters” seemed to make up a large percentage of people that were there. Most of the owners likely rent out their property, which in my opinion, allowed these “owners” to have a vacation property to rent.
