We met family for a birthday celebration. Visited the Oregon Trail Interpetive Center which was fun. Nice park in town. The house was clean, bed comfy. Had all the comforts we needed for the two of us. Thanks!
Comfy bed, nice bathroom and kitchen with everything we needed. Would be a good place to bring a dog but we needed up not bringing our furry friend. Would love to come back!

Best little vacation rental in Baker City. Very comfortable. It felt like home when we walked in. It was snowing so we didn’t get to enjoy the back yard but the chairs, fire pit and flower pots made it looked like a great place to relax.
The lady who owes the property was very nice.? I had to call her a couple of times and she got back quickly with the answers and very helpful.
The place was clean and fit what we needed for our short stay.

Cute place!
Cute, clean, and well stocked with all the essentials. The only problem is that your shower can not be more than a few minutes or the hot water is GONE.
The newly-listed property is really cute and comfortable, with charming furnishings and very nice quality linens. The kitchen was well-supplied with dishes and the bath towels were brand new. The neighborhood is "up and coming" - abandoned homes next door and across the street - but the parking/porch area was well-lit and we did not feel unsafe at any time. Some additional attention to cleaning under the bed/inside the washer and paint touchups inside and out would have made a 5 star rating for cleanliness.
The neighborhood is run-down and the house is right next door to a scary looking abandoned building. The water heater is also inadequate, meaning if you need more than five minutes to shower it is COLD.

No hot water!
The hot water is still an issue for this property even after the VRBO Owner responded that they were “investigating” the issue after a guest mentioned it last in March 2024. Other guests have mentioned the same lack of hot water. The first morning I took a quick shower, and my husband had an ever quicker one because he had no hot water halfway through. The same happened the next morning. The check-out instructions also direct guests to turn on the dishwasher before leaving. I can guarantee there was no hot water to wash those dishes after we ran out of hot water 30 minutes before showering. I cannot recommend staying at this rental until the hot water issue is fixed.

Adorable cottage, not good for non-pet guests
The property was nicely updated and adorable, however, there was a few things that made our stay a bit uncomfortable. The property is apparently pet friendly, although, we did not bring a pet and the place was covered in pet hair. It was even inside the clean bedding underneath the sheets. Both of us woke up to pet hair in our mouths a couple times which was pretty gross. There was also hair around the sink in the bathroom which was off putting. The bedding on the pull out couch was stained and looked dirty and we had to do our best to utilize the extra bedding to try and cover it up.
The cottage was a lot smaller than expected, not really a good place for more than 2 guests. The hot water was exceptionally disappointing and only lasted about 3 minutes. Totally not enough for one shower, let alone for all 3 of us.
Cute is great, location is ok, but cleanliness & hot water are paramount.

Emily, thank you for your feedback and for highlighting both the positives and the areas where we fell short during your stay at our cottage. We're glad you appreciated the updates we've made to the property, and we're committed to ensuring that all our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable experience. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by pet hair and cleanliness issues you encountered. It is our policy to maintain a high standard of cleanliness, and clearly, we did not meet this standard in your case.Following your feedback, we've addressed this with our cleaning team, who have not only revisited and deep cleaned the property but will also be providing photographic evidence of their work going forward to ensure every corner is thoroughly cleaned and inspected before guest arrival. The size of the cottage and the hot water issue you mentioned are concerns we take seriously. We've updated our website to clearly communicate the size of the cottage, ensuring future guests have accurate expectations before their arrival. As for the hot water, we are actively investigating the issue with the water heater and are considering the installation of a tankless water heater to provide a more reliable hot water supply for our guests.Your comfort and satisfaction are paramount to us, and we are taking immediate steps to address the concerns you've raised. Cleanliness and adequate amenities are indeed paramount, and we are committed to making the necessary improvements to meet and exceed our guests' expectations. We truly value your input, as it helps us improve and ensure a better experience for all our guests. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future, under more pleasant and comfortable circumstances.Thank you for choosing our cottage, and we apologize once again for any inconvenience during your stay.
This property is well equipped, comfortable and clean. The neighborhood is in a industrial area which initially soured the wife's impression but we had zero problems with the area.
We would definitely recommend this property and enjoyed our stay. Comfortable bed, and wonderful towels. So happy to have found a place our dog was welcome!
Couple of things to be aware of, not show stoppers, just know before you go... - it is very small so not much room to store things. We were able to fit our large dog crate in a corner of the living room though so we had a spot for a second suitcase! Very much appreciated having a fenced yard to let our dog out but it is rocked. Not a problem for our dog, but don't plan on playing with your pooch out there. There is, however, an off leash dog park just a 5 min drive from the house. All in all our needs were met, and we enjoyed our stay.
We had a great time in this house. It was simple comfortable. Exactly what we werenlooking for to explore Baker County. Bed was comfortable. It was quiet at night. Thank you we had a great vacation.
