Thousand Islands Retreat

This Thousand Islands Retreat was great! It’s location on the Lake Ontario shore is a perfect “home base” to explore all of the Thousand Islands area. The house is set right on the Lake Ontario shore. It is sparkling clean, beautifully and thoughtfully equipped and decorated. The beds and furniture are extremely comfortable and the kitchen has everything anyone would want and need. The back deck offers a great place to enjoy morning coffee while taking in the view of the lake and a quiet little marina full of sail boats. The location is right between Kingston and Prince Edward County and all the attractions that both of those places offer. A drive of less than 20 minutes puts you in either place. The village of Bath, Where the house is located is quaint and historic. There are several good establishments to visit within easy walking distance. We have been frequent VRBO renters for several years, overall, this was one of the best places we have stayed. Five Stars!!!

It was love at first sight when I stepped into the main living area of this home for the first time and took in the sweeping lake views. We bought the cottage that very day and spent considerable time and effort to transform it from a diamond in the rough to a lakeside gem. The property is ideally located steps to the quaint town of Bath and all the charm it offers. Our family loves to go cycling and boating. There is a marina nearby where we dock our boat and on weekends we spend countless hours touring the Thousand Islands waterway discovering all the beauty and diversity it offers.
