Discover a charming 1920's cottage nestled in the heart of Dunedin, just 3 blocks from the water and downtown. This delightful cottage is ideally located 2 blks from the Pinellas Trail, the Fenway Hotel, and the Blue Jay's stadium.
Surrounded by lush greenery, the cottage boasts a private outdoor space perfect for you and your dog. Inside, you'll find a sunny kitchen, a spacious living and dining area, and comfortable beds to ensure a wonderful stay. Come and enjoy a memorable stay here!
This cozy cottage offers tranquility, elegance and light. A well stocked kitchen, luxury linens and toiletries, some good books, as well as fast internet and 2 smart TVs with YouTubeTV provide a real sense of relaxation and pampering. The space offers versatility and privacy for visitors, especially two couples, in that the front bedroom has an entrance from the front patio, as well as through the living room. There is a good sense of privacy and separation between the two bedrooms, and the bathroom is in the hallway between the kitchen and the back bedroom. Having two separate outdoor spaces- one in front and one in back- gives many options according to the time of day/angle of the sun, and your level of sociability.
Your cottage has its own private quiet back patio and a sheltered front patio under an ancient camphor tree overlooking Douglas Avenue, a relatively busy street by Dunedin standards- a lot of bikers, people walking their dogs, as well as cars etc. You have two parking spaces available for your cars. There is a laundry building that is shared with the cottage at the back of the property, and we provide laundry detergent, bleach and dryer sheets. We provide two beach chairs, a beach umbrella and a cooler for your visits to quiet Honeymoon Island State Park (our favorite, 15 minutes north) or bustling Clearwater Beach, a 15 minute drive south.
This area is really what Dunedin is about- the neighborhood has many cottages from the 20s and the 40s, and is part of the walkable central old downtown that makes Dunedin such fun. People are biking over to the Pinellas Trail, or walking or riding their golf carts up Douglas to Main Street for all the restaurants and shops and the Farmers' Market. The sky just seems bigger and the sunsets are grand.
Although many of Dunedin's attractions are within walking or biking distance, there is a public bus that runs up Douglas. The Jolley Trolley, a fun ride which runs from over in Clearwater Beach up to Tarpon Springs, can be picked up either three blocks away on Edgewater Drive or four blocks north on Main Street. Uber and taxis are also available.
We live just a few minutes away and are always available by phone, email or in person for questions, problems, restaurant or real estate advice, but we leave you with complete privacy unless you ask. The sunsets are gorgeous two blocks away on the water, but they are also beautiful just while sitting out in front of the cottage watching the world go by!
We welcome your smaller dog (only one dog per stay, under 20 pounds), with a non-refundable $75 pet fee (additional cost for stays longer than a week) .

We loved the location so close to downtown and were able to walk everywhere. The cottage is well furnished and had everything we needed. Downtown Dunedin is wonderful. And we were so close to the water and spent a lot of time walking along the waterfront.

Thank you for your wonderful review. Hope you book again!
This cottage was adorable! There was plenty of room for my husband and I and our two little dogs. It had a nice private fenced in area in the back. Although we didn’t cook there, it seemed as though it had everything you’d need to do so. The beds and bedding were super comfy. We didn’t see the Blue Jays play, but the stadium was a few minutes walk away. This place was very close to town, lots of shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend this cottage for a couple or small family.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Coral Cottage and the great location. We are happy that you had a memorable vacation and hope to host you again soon! thanks, Waverly and Trisha
The property was perfect for our stay in Dunedin to watch spring training baseball. The location is a short walk to the ballpark and to the restaurants and breweries in Dunedin. The cottage was clean, comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. I would definitely stay again.
We love these quaint little cottages, just on the edge of downtown Dunedin. I also was grateful for the owners quick responses when I needed help or had a question.
Accurate description. Convenient to walking downtown. Has all amenities. Comfortable beds and plenty of towels and washcloths.

Sweet little cottage in paradise
This little cottage is precious and it was spotlessly clean. I appreciated both the quaintness and the tidiness.
It is so close to town and both Dunedin and it’s people fall nothing short of perfect.
Our stay was uneventful and that is how it should be - easy walk to village, restaurants with a couple great golf courses close by. Certainly would book this again
This is the second time we rented this location for an entire month. Can’t wait to come back to Dunedin and this cottage. Perfect location for my wife and I and our two dogs. Waverly and Barbara were great. Cottage is walkable to all of Dunedins amenities to include micro breweries, restaurants and shops.

Great location, loved Coral Cottage!
We really enjoyed our 10 days at Coral Cottage. The location was perfect - within easy walking distance to downtown Dunedin, the Pinellas Trail, and Edgewater Dr for walks along the water. The cottage was very clean and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We especially appreciated the pre-stocked items - paper products, spices in the kitchen, and coffee supplies. We'd stay there again and recommend it to other couples!

Angela, we are so glad you enjoyed your time at Coral Cottage. We have a lot of fun thinking up little treats for our guests so that you have everything you need for a great stay in Delightful Downtown Dunedin! Thanks again for staying with us- Waverly and Trisha
Enjoyed our stay. Close proximity to Dunedin and within walking distance to the waterfront. Cottage was as advertised and we appreciated the flexibility of the host regarding the addition of our pets. Only challenge was the shower rod coming loose - would recommend a curved attached rod to create more space in the shower and keep the rod in place. Delightful place and would recommend to family/friends visiting.
This is the ideal stay for visiting TD Park in Dunedin.
A very short walk and you’re there! Close to downtown too. Clean, quiet and all the essentials you need. We had trouble at check in with the access code but I only mention this because when I messaged the owner she phoned me in less than a minute and the problem was solved. We hope we have the opportunity to stay here again.

Glad to have hosted you! Please reach out directly if you want to come again.
Lovely place. Fenced in yard forOur small dogs. Not much grass for them but it was nice to know they were safe. House was well equipped and beds were comfy. Modest home and felt very welcomed. Walk to downtown Dunedin was further than expected but it was 90 degrees and no shade. Maybe during cooler weather walk would be more manageable.
The cottage was PERFECT. My wife and I and our two (2) dogs rented this property for the month of January. In addition, our son visited for 12 days. Plenty of room for all. Couldn't have asked for a better location. We walked to the water and to all the amenities downtown had to offer like the breweries, restaurants, shops, Pinellas Trail and the weekly farmer's market. We also enjoyed the sun sets over the Gulf and Dunedin's causeway and Honeymoon Island's dog beach.
We will definitely be back and hope this cottage will be available. Thanks again.

Perfect accomodations and location
As discerning short-term rental property owners ourselves in NC, we have very high standards when we travel and choose a short-term rental property in which to stay. We highly recommend this property. It was spotless, comfortable, well-appointed, and had attractive décor. The owners are delightful and think of everything. The location could not be more ideal as it was possible to walk to the charming "downtown" in about 10 minutes where coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, and charming shops abound. We were even lucky enough to visit when the farmer's market was open from 9-2 on Fridays and Saturdays where we listened to live music, ate delicious French crepes prepared in front of us, and shopped the beautiful artisan booths. We will be back. Pam and George Baston

About the host

My husband and I live in Dunedin but go for long bike-camping trips on our tandem bicycle as often as we can. We love to take the ferry from Dunedin to Clearwater- a cheap dolphin cruise through the beautiful waters of Saint Joseph's Sound.
Why they chose this property
My great-grandfather came to Dunedin in 1922 and built a home a few blocks north, and my granddad had his photography studio just across the way. We love watching sunset at the marina and enjoying the restaurants on Main Street. This area is my idea of a perfect place to vacation and live!
