My family had a wonderfully relaxing time staying right on the water at this beach front home. We played on the beach, kayaked, and had dinner out in Olympia (highly recommend Chelsea Farms Oyster Bar). This home was perfect for getting away and relaxing (amazing hot tub views) and also getting a nice dinner in town. The kids loved the trolley for getting up and down from the driveway to the home. The home itself almost feels like a boat because you're right on the water! We'd definitely like to come back.
Beautiful location right on the water! The tram to get to the property was a fun novelty that the kids enjoyed. We even saw orcas from the house. 10/10 would recommend and book again!
We loved our stay. The location offers unique and unparalleled views, and the house itself is beautiful and clean. The tram was so convenient and a hit with the kids. We will definitely be back!
We have 3 kids 5 and under, this house was perfect for them to explore the beach, the National Parks, and Olympia, including the Children’s Museum. The tram/trolley works perfectly and couldn’t be easier to operate, and the kids loved the ride.
Our family had a great time enjoying the views (including Mt. Rainier), kayaking, and relaxing around the fire and in the hot tub. The home and location are beautiful and fully accurate to the listing. Tracey is a fantastic and responsive host. Would love to go back again sometime!

Fantastic location & wonderful views!
This house has everything you could need for a getaway. Beds are comfortable, kitchen is stocked with all needed tools etc. The east facing position makes Mt. Rainier viewing primo!
12/10 would definitely recommend!
Beautiful, quiet, and chic, this beach house went beyond our expectations. Our family had plenty of room to relax inside or out, enjoying morning views of wildlife and even a peek of Mt Ranier. The host was friendly and responsive and my kids keep asking when can we go back to the beach house. Location was also great and only 15-20 min from everything! Wonderful stay! Would definitely book again.

Beautiful location overlooking Mt Rainier!
We had a lovely time at the relaxing waterfront escape. The home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, kayaks & comfy beds. We enjoyed cold plunging in the Sound followed by warming up in the hot tub & walking on the beach with our pups. The host was very accommodating to our requests.
This amazing home just steps from Johnson Point is comfortable and well-equipped. The setting with the waves lapping at the shore and Mt. Rainier in the distance is the perfect getaway. And the tram to access the property is not only practical, it's a fun ride. I highly recommend this home.

Beautiful escape
This was such a fun place to stay with my family (two adults, one kid, one dog) from Seattle and our friends (two adults, two kids, one dog) from Portland. About halfway between, so easy drive for everyone. And the kids and dogs had a blast on the beach, in the funicular, in the separate media room - just everywhere. Meanwhile the balcony and the under-cover back porch provided peaceful moments with a cup of coffee for the adults. Would love to come back.
We certainly enjoyed our stay :) kudos to the host for accommodating our change in dates.
We had originally scheduled for early November but had to move it back to December. Wished we could have enjoyed the outdoors and amenities more but none the less we cozied up and enjoyed just being together. Id like to go back in the summer!! Thank you to our host she was perfect! Cute place and exactly as pictured.
Beautiful property with beautiful views. The house was immaculate and very well stocked with dishes and utensils to prepare food for small groups. There is plenty of room and activities to keep you occupied, or just the perfect place to just relax. The communication and check in process was a super easy too! It’ll be my place to stay when I visit Olympia in the future. Thank you!
Don't miss this cute and cozy beach house on the bay! It is a worth the long haul down to the house. (there is a tram coming that will make the stairs nearly a non issue) it is super clean and well equipped in every way. The beds and other furnishings are super comfy. It was hard to get out of those beds in morning. We are seasoned travelers and this is near the top of our list! Will gladly stay again!

From the owner: "Bethany, I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. It was truly my pleasure to have you. Please come back another time. Best, Tracey."
Our stay was so nice! From the dramatic tram entrance to the Mt. Rainier views, this little gem nestled near the top of Johnson’s Point was perfect for us!
So relaxing to just sit by the water and stare at the view. Plenty of outdoor space to soak up the sun or stay cool in the shade.
The hot tub views are incomparable! Even in hot weather (85 degrees+) the bedrooms stayed cool. Leaving a window or door open at night let’s the sound of the sound lull you to sleep (perfect screen placement helps 😉).
12/10 would definitely recommend!

Awesome Vacation
My wife and I just finished our vacation at your house and quite frankly we were sad for our time to end in the house. What an awesome place, we have rented a few places from Home Away before and this house takes the prize. Its location is one of the finest. Nothing like taking a afternoon nap while listening to the waves lapping against the beach. You truly only have to bring the food, everything else is there. We travel to the area annually and if the house is available we will be staying again.
Signed
Sorry our vacation ended

We are so pleased to know you enjoyed your stay. And, we completely know that sad feeling when it all ends. It is truly a special spot and it is always our pleasure to share it with wonderful guests like yourself. Please come stay again.
Best, Tracey & Jeff
Had a fabulous time visiting for my sons third birthday. The house itself is beautiful, well maintained, clean and relaxing. Theres a tram to get down to the house (which my kiddos thoroughly enjoyed) because the house sits right on the beach. At high tide the water was up to the retaining wall, at low tide we explored the beach and saw seals and some orca whales! We rented a pontoon from the marina, which is super close and boated out to the different inlets so beautiful! The fact that you can wake up to a sunrise right over the water, with a giant mountain in view! 10/10 would recommend
The house is older but feels quaint in a cozy way. The views and the outdoor space is what makes this an easy 5 star review though.
Mt Rainier is front and center when you look outside (even from your bed in the morning 😍) and we saw SO MUCH WILDLIFE! I grew up in Washington and I saw more wildlife in 3 days at this property than I did in basically all my childhood.
There were seals, herons, scores of porpoises playing, fish jumping out of the water, the occasional raccoon, I woke up to deer walking along the shore every morning, and I even saw an otter on the floating dock. I honestly felt like I had walked into a Disney movie. The sunsets were breathtaking. The sunrises even better.
And the view from the hot tub is something else entirely.
Do yourself a favor and stay here. I know I'll be back!
A Peaceful, Soul-Filling Escape on the Water – 10/10 Experience
Our recent stay at this beautiful Johnson Point home was nothing short of magical. The house itself is stunning—thoughtfully decorated with tasteful artwork, cozy bedrooms, and a fully stocked kitchen that made it feel like home the moment we arrived. Every space was curated with care, from the comfy swing chairs to the inviting fire pit surrounded by chairs of all sizes. The view of the water was breathtaking, and the private beach access gave us a peaceful connection to nature that’s hard to find. We kayaked, played chess by the fire, grilled steaks, and enjoyed slow mornings and long evenings on the balcony just soaking it all in.This was the first trip our little family (my ex-wife, our son, and I) has taken in years, and it meant the world to us. We laughed, relaxed, bonded deeply, and created memories we’ll treasure for a lifetime.Despite feeling completely tucked away in nature, we were still only 10–15 minutes from grocery stores and anything else we needed. The perfect balance of seclusion and convenience.Communication with the host was effortless—they were kind, responsive, and incredibly helpful from start to finish. We’d recommend this place 10 out of 10 times.Thank you for creating a space that helped us reconnect, recharge, and truly enjoy being together. We can’t wait to come back.

Wonderful family place.
Our family of five (including a 12 year-old, nine-year-old, and six-year-old) loved our stay at this location. We were only able to stay three nights, but on the first night we had the opportunity to watch seals feeding right off the back yard. The kids loved this. We also had a sunset view of Mt. Rainer that evening. The kids enjoyed watching the tide go in and out. We are from Mid-Missouri so they don't get those kinds of experiences. The location is secluded. We pretty much had the beach to ourselves. We caught a glimpse of a couple neighbors, but it was very peaceful there. However, Walmart, gas stations, etc. are only a few minutes drive away. The owners are very organized and helpful. They provided plenty of information before and during our stay to make us comfortable. The house is very clean and well-stocked. It was definitely worth the 2,000 mile drive.

Thank you so much for your kind words. It was our pleasure to have your family experience the Northwest lifestyle, complete with extra bonuses like seals. Right after you left we acquired a giant sea lion who camped out on our float all weekend. And, a group of dolphins passed by. You never know what you'll see.
We are happy we were able to make your 2,000 mile drive worth it. Please come back and stay longer next time.

Amazing!!!!
WOW—just WOW!!This place was absolutely incredible! We can’t say enough about how much we loved our stay! The house had everything we could possibly need— comfy couches, cozy beds, a kitchen stocked with everything we needed for our cooking adventures, and the views… oh my goodness, the views! Whether we were in the kitchen, the bedrooms, or just lounging around, the scenery was breathtaking, and the view of Mt. Rainier was the cherry on top, gorgeous ! The yard was perfectly enclosed for our little pup and the beach was paw-approved which was awesome as that’s not always the case on the Puget Sound ! We took her on several beach walks, and they were nothing short of FANTASTIC! We LOVED the tram ride from the driveway to the house—so fun! We were a little nervous at first, but it turned out to be a total highlight. Even our dog got into it—after her first ride, she was hooked! We would say you wanna ride the tram?? And she would run over there and wait for us to let her in. She’d hop on first every time, ready to go. It was adorable. The hot tub was clean, relaxing and had such epic views. We also did a lot of kayaking and saw so much wildlife from the boats and from the property: beautiful seabirds, huge sea lions, curious harbor seals, and even a few porpoises! Watching the sea lions try to climb onto a nearby floating dock was hilarious, but our favorite were the harbor seals who followed us around like little kayak buddies. You’d stop the kayak, turn around, and there they were—just 15–20 feet away with their little heads popped out of the water. Soooo cool!! And last but definitely not least—Tracey, our amazing host! Thank you so much for sharing this magical place with us. Your hospitality made everything even more special. Can’t wait to visit again sometime.

Stellar house on the water with view of Mt Rainier
Spent Thanksgiving weekend and we are used to bringing roasting pan, casserole pans, spices, flour. sugar, etc. None of that was necessary. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Tracey even asked if she should bring down a turkey roasting pan.
The view is fantastic and just a few steps down to walkable beach if the tides not in.
Beds are comfy. There's enough comfortable living room seating for our group. We even watched one of the many movies available.
Was perfect for our group. We've been staying a beach lodging for Thanksgiving for over 30 years and this is the best one by far.
