Monkey Island Townhome

The townhome was an awesome experience. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was stocked well with extra trash bags and paper towels. We had everything we needed. Best of all, we could get ahold of an actual person when we needed them! The back patio was nice with plenty of chairs and the pool was steps away from the us. This property is a nice gated community and plenty of parking. The lake is close too. We would stay here again. Thank you for a great weekend. The garage was an added bonus.

Wonderful accommodations; well-stocked and clean; backs right up to the swimming pool!

This lovely townhome in a gated community is ideally situated right next to the pool, with a basketball court at the far end—super convenient! It's just a 5-mile drive to Shangri-La Resort at the tip of Monkey Island, where you can rent boats at Shangri-La Marina or Sail Grand. The townhome was well-stocked with essentials, and the bedrooms were spacious and had very comfortable beds. The property contact was responsive and quick to return calls and texts, which was a great bonus. I had no complaints about the stay or service and would definitely stay here again!

Bad communication

We sent a message a week prior to our stay about adding guests which it says can in the listing for an up charge . We received a message the day before our stay saying no other guests can be added and no one else can even come to the property. The upstairs bath did not drain. Also on the grill there were bones left on it from prior guests. There was a wasp nest by the garage as well.

Very nice townhouse with basketball court close to Monkey Island

Pro’s: the townhouse is just as described and very clean. The beds were very comfortable, the TV’s worked, and the appliances are all new and worked well. Also having use of the garage was great. There is very nice outdoor furniture and the 1/2 basketball court was fantastic! The neighbors invited our boys to play basketball until the court closed and we were able to sit outside on the back patio and supervise - so awesome! The property is also a short drive to Shangri-La, which was great, and very close to the Dollar Store. Cons: had some problems getting in the door since our wireless codes were not programmed in and the property manager wasn’t responding. We did get in touch with the Evolve rental company and they were wonderful! They did finally get in touch with the manager to help us get in, and she was very nice and apologetic. Next time I would just contact the property manager a day ahead and to make sure the codes were programmed in. Also just to clarify the townhouse is within walking distance of the lake and does have a boat ramp, but not a beach or swimming area (the docks are privately owned we found out). Overall we had a wonderful time and I would stay again!
