Spacious and Comfortable

Spacious and comfortable condo on Daytona Beach. Well equipped kitchen. Close to a variety of shops and restaurants. Our host was excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Is there such a thing as cockroach PTSD?

I armed myself with a Swiffer so I could kill cockroaches from a distance. There were stains I cannot unsee mainly because I discovered them after I had been sleeping on them only separated by a fitted sheet or a pillowcase. It was advertised as having brand new stainless steel appliances. The appliances were streaked and crusted with food and there were a few rust spots not to mention a few dead cockroaches in the bottom of the refrigerator. I had to move out for two days while VRBO had the owner fumigate the place and hire someone to deep clean. The cooktop still had burnt on crust ringing every burner and I found one more pillow that one side was completely saturated with something brown. And I was still killing cockroaches with the Swiffer. I had begged VRBO to get me out of the situation and their offer was a refund of just a little over half of what I paid for my 67 day stay. Unfortunately, I had only been there 17 days so the offer was unacceptable. Thus the fumigation, deep clean, staying at a hotel for two days, and coming back and cleaning all the dishes, silverware, linens, etc because based on the crusty stovetop, I was not 100% convinced a deep clean had taken place after the fumigation.

I appreciate your patience in helping me eliminating the roach issue which I was not aware and caused due the the filth and lack of cleanliness by previous tenant for 6 months. 1 cm tiny roach would randomly show up. I understand the inconvenience for weekly treatments by 2 companies in 1st month as you had to stay out of condo for 2 hrs. After all treatments professional recommendations were followed to ensure NO safety risk. We successfully eliminated roach issue within a month to avoid infestation. I agree roaches are not acceptable. The condo, linen and towels were professionally cleaned. There were multiple spare brand new bedsheet sets (king/ queen) in the linen closet in its original packaging. The top 2 layers of pillow and mattress topper were clean. The original pillow covers and mattress topper coffee stains were re-cleaned after you pointed. Pillow did clean. For convenience, 6 times more expensive cool gel memory foam pillows (than regular $5 pillows) are provided. Too bad that some people cannot appreciate and take care of the other people stuff. Appliances are only 2.5 yrs old. I still consider them new. If tenant does not take proper care and maintain cleanliness, then the ocean salt air rust the SS units. Cleaners made every effort to remove the rust stains. If you observed a rust stain on the inside of the refrigerator fold, I am sorry. 99.5% of the SS was clean, can't be perfect. It was difficult to please you. All the best and thanks for your stay.
