The converted barn was beautifully renovated. The setting was relaxed and my daughter enjoyed the riding school. Highly recommend this stay for horse and dog lovers.
Very relaxing stay in a beautiful stables conversion. Extremely comfortable and secluded but also very convenient as a base for exploring the Southern Highlands.
Will definitely book again when we are next visiting the area.
Rosthwaite is heaven for horse lovers and a lovely change from the city
We had a lovely stay at the Stables, Peter and Michelle were great hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Their knowledge of the area was excellent too, giving us some wonderful dining and sight seeing options.
We can’t wait to return to Rosthwaite.

Jay, we loved hosting you and your family at The Stables. It is always pleasing when our guests enjoy their stay enough to want to come back in the future.
Thanks for your kind words
We had a wonderful stay it was comfortable a home away from home. I would highly recommend it. We also went to the Briars Inn for dinner which is just down the road. The food was delicious. Overall a lovely short stay in Moss Vale.
We stayed at the Stables for 3 nights and had exactly the kind of chilled, relaxing time that we were hoping for - in a rustic setting, surrounded by paddocks and horses on an active, well-run farm. The ensuite bedrooms were stunning, the living room cosy and the kitchen had everything we needed. Would definitely be keen to stay again and have no hesitation recommending it.
We had a lovely little weekend getaway at the property. Everything was accounted for and the surroundings were lovely. Our 3 year old
Daughter loved the grounds, (especially the swings) seeing the horses and the friendly dog. We will definitely be back!
We had a very relaxing weekend at the stables. The accommodation was really comfortable. We went for wonderful walks around the property visiting the beautiful horses accompanied by Snoopy the friendly dog. We enjoyed a picturesque sunset down at the dam and after dinner sat around the fire pit under the stars. Such a pretty part of the world. Peter was really helpful and it was nice to meet him and Michelle the morning we departed. Thanks for sharing your fabulous home with us.
Such a stunning hideaway surrounded by horses. An old stable turned into a beautiful home. Large fire place in the living room, big beautiful bath and best of all it’s pet friendly! Thank you, we had a memorable time.
Fantastic family experience. Beautifully appointed stable style villa with all mod cons included. Quiet, spacious and peaceful environment amongst the horses and paddocks. Very friendly and helpful hosts provide a perfect rural experience. Couldn’t fault it in any way.

It was a pleasure hosting Adrian and his family. They respected our cottage and abided by all of the house rules. We hope to see them back soon.
We booked this property looking for a chilled weekend getaway from the city… and it’s exactly what we got. The inside is beautifully renovated. The bathroom and tub are stunning. We enjoyed a nice cozy night in by the fire. In the mornings we walked around the grounds with our dog and baby and admired the beautiful horses.
Thank you again for sharing your lovely property.
It was a lovely accommodation. Both rooms were big and the kitchen was well equipped. We went in late May and weather was cold. All spaces had reverse cycle airconditioner as well as fireplace to keep us warm. The modern bathrooms had heated tiled floor which was superb. Peter the host was very responsive to our requests. All in all, a lovely place I have no hesitation to go back and stay again. Leanne

Leanne, many thanks for your positive review of our cottage. Much appreciated and hope to see you again in the warmer months ahead.
Beautiful property, every comfort considered, lots of attention to detail, quality linen and toiletries, super comfy beds and loved browsing the books the owner left. So welcoming on arrival, warm and music playing.. such a thoughtful touch. Coffee machine, well equipped kitchen, bathtub, great shower and open fire were spot on for a relaxing weekend.. Seeing a 2 week old foal
In the field opposite the house was really quite special. Loved the little terrace for sitting outside. Quality accomodation. Thanks for a wonderful stay and friendly welcome.

We thoroughly enjoyed hosting Abi and her family at the Stables. They respected the property and all the house rules and even cleaned the fireplace before leaving - a first by any guest.
Thank you Michelle and Peter for your hospitality! The quality touches within the property have exceeded our expectation, we have truly enjoyed our stay at the Stables.
Our first horse riding experience has been so memorable, ‘Princess Fiona’ and ‘Snowy’ were so patient with us! Peter has done an excellent job leading the way for both of them and shown us around the farm.
We will be recommending the Stables to our friends and families if they are visiting the area in the future.
PS: wishing James can fulfil his Olympic dreams in Equestrian, we hope to see his name one day on tv representing Australia!
We so enjoyed our stay at the Stables, everything was top quality, and coming from Qld we enjoyed the novelty of an open fire, and we all loved watching the horses. Our Springer Spaniel made a new friend with Snoopy.
Just a short stay in southern highlands . Great property and location only 4km to Briars Inn for dinner. Bonus having the horses their for the kids. Excellent communications from owners
