Ettalong is a great spot with so much to do and yes the cottage is close to everything. I see you got to some favourite haunts. Next time try Coast - a short walk and a favourite of ours for lunch. Hy Lyndie Thank you for your feedback and high rating. Thank you also for your personal text thanking me in relation to your stay and that you also enjoyed the wine we provided you. Our sincere apologies re the clock stopping as you can imagine this is not something we could have foreseen. I would have happily replaced the clock the day it stopped. I give guests my phone number and ask them to call or text me with any little thing, this sort of thing included. The clock is now working. I am sorry you did not like our broom. It is actually my favoured and trusted broom. Just to clarify though, we supply all sorts of cleaning products and equipment which guests have told me they appreciate. There is/was a mop and bucket where the bikes are stored. There is also a vacuum and broom in the large 2nd living room cupboard along with appropriate and eco-friendly cleaning agents to assist. Where all these are kept is outlined in the guest information book which is left prominently on the dining room table. It is unfortunate for us both that you did not find these although I would think they are easy to find even without reading the guest info book. If only you had called/texted - I could have let you know. I am quite perplexed why a hot day would affect the fridge given the cottage is air conditioned. I was at the cottage the following day and the air conditioning made the place very cool as intended – it was a very hot day otherwise we don’t often need it due to the sea breeze. I noted you had put all the controls on the fridge and freezer to ‘extreme’. The fridge is working perfectly (once returned to normal settings) and did not make a peep of a noise when staying the next couple of days. Confused re plastic containers comment. We supply tupperware and also plastic re-usable containers which guests can also take with them if they have food they wish to travel with. We do have guests stay for weeks and to date up to a month - often with kids and dogs in tow. The feedback has always been very flattering from these guests, some who have become returning guests. Guests also comment that the 2 separate living areas, the outdoor patio and the front deck at the Lone Palm Ettalong provide a good variety of living spaces. Thank you for your suggestion about a microwave - we have now had one installed. I will also look into providing a radio although these days our guests tend to travel with their portable speakers but think a radio is a good idea. Thank you so much for your review Kelly-Marie. Appreciate the feedback re outdoor gas heater but we think the ambience and warmth of having a small fire pit is much nicer but will definitely thnk about gas for next winter. Look forward to having you visit again.
