Located just 600m from beautiful Smith’s Beach and a short drive to the Grand Prix Circuit and Penguin Parade, Dolphin Delight is the perfect location for your next getaway. Set in a quiet street with a large, private back yard and rear entertaining deck this property offers families and couples an ideal place to relax and unwind. The property now also has a wood fire heater to keep you warm in the cooler months.

The property
The property has three bedrooms and comfortably sleeps four adults and four children. The generous master bedroom is complete with walk in robe and en-suite. The second bedroom is perfect for children with two bunk beds. The third bedroom has a queen size bed allowing extra space for up to two additional adults.

All linen and towels are provided and a port-a-cot and highchair are available for those with younger children at no additional cost.

The house has a well equipped kitchen for all of your cooking needs and basic supplies such as tea, coffee, oil, salt and pepper are provided. The kitchen has a modern electric cook top and oven, a dishwasher and a microwave. A Nespresso coffee machine and milk frother, stove top percolator and tea pot ensure all your caffeine needs are met.

The main bathroom is complete with bath and shower and there is a separate toilet. Body wash, soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided.

The large laundry has a washing machine, dryer and trough and washing powder is provided. A clothes airer, iron and ironing board are also available.

The house is tastefully furnished with a modern coastal theme and there is a 50” smart television with a Netflix account provided. Wi-Fi is available and a split system air conditioner will keep you cool in summer and warm in winter.

Front and rear decks enable you to chase the sun or shade and there is an outdoor dining setting on the rear deck. Comfortable Adirondack chairs, sun lounges and a hammock provide plenty of outdoor spaces to relax. An outside shower provides you a place to rinse off after the beach. A large Weber Family Q BBQ is also provided.

A modern wood fire heater will keep you warm in winter.

There are plenty of activities at the house for children including board games, playing cards, puzzles, outdoor ball sports and a basketball hoop.

A beach trolley is available for your use to enable you to walk your things to the beach with ease and can easily accommodate boogie boards, towels and buckets and spade. A small number of beach toys are also available for use.

Perfect property

We all felt at home, plenty space for the 6 of us and our dog, comfortable/stylish furnishings and well equipped. We cooked in both nights, great bbq & kitchen had everything we needed. Ideal location for walking to Smiths beach, great sunsets. We'd definitely return.

Dolphin Delight was amazing, we will definitely being staying again. The house was a great size for our family with a perfect location & walking distance to the beach. Very clean(which is a big thing for me) and the welcome package was unexpected but a lovely surprise.

Great beach hideaway

Everything about my stay was great. The house has good quality furniture and appliances. A really well stocked pantry and super comfy bed. The yard was big and enclosed, so no escape routes for the dogs. It really felt like a home away from home. 10 minute drive to dog friendly off-leash beaches. It was just perfect!

Great house in a perfect location The owners have set this house up to be the best beach house I’ve stayed in Everything is ‘top notch’ From the Sheridan Linen to the kitchen knives that are actually sharp, they have put quality through out the whole house Nice little wood fire made it cost even in peak winter Location is great too Just a short walk to the quiet Smiths Beach and cafe Close enough to Cowes that you can be there in the car in 5 minutes but far enough to avoid the crowds. I loved everything about this house

This property was awesome. So beautiful and exactly what we needed. Our hosts had a welcome pack explaining how to use things and ideas for what to do. It was so handy and appreciated. The kids loved the basketball court and having games in the spare room was great. The kids loved battleship and uno. We will definitely be back.

Dolphin Delight Lives Up to Its Name

A real hidden gem in Smiths Beach. So close to everything in Smiths Beach, which is one of the best beaches in Victoria. The home is so welcoming, with everything you could need. Three lovely bedrooms, 2 modern bathrooms (1 ensuite & 1 main - toilet separate next to main bathroom) a large laundry & an open plan area at the rear with lge modern kitchen, lge family area with plenty of seating, split A/C & combustion wood heater, along with a sizable dining area. Sliding doors take you out on to a wonderful deck with a bench table under cover and steps down to a sizeable, well-grassed back yard, which is great for family & puppy/ies to run around. Hosts (Laura & Geoff) were so helpful and welcoming, even providing a welcome pack of goodies on arrival. There is no hesitation in recommending Dolphin Delight to all and we will certainly be returning, as Smiths Beach has been a favourite place for us to visit, for many years.

Lovely Smiths Beach holiday getaway

Great beach house just a short stroll to Smiths Beach general store and beach. Everything has been thought of, from good quality linen (super comfortable mattresses), well appointed kitchen and pantry well stocked with more than just the basics. Even though we had miserable weather, kids made the most of the basketball court and we made the most of the fireplace. A very comfortable house for a weekend getaway!

Smiths Beach

The property is in a great location for all the island activities . Everything is brand new and very well appointed . All your condiments for cooking are there which can be a hassle for short stays if you have to bring your own . Beds and couches are all comfortable , great choice of pillows , I think owners have thought of everything to make our stay easy and comfortable . One thing that would be handy is a clothes line near outdoor shower for beach gear ,ie wetsuits towels . Cheers Brian

We purchased this lovely property in 2021 after longing to have a place at Phillip Island for many years. Smith’s Beach is our favourite spot on the island and tends to be where we spend most of our time when down here during the summer months. Laura used to live and work on the island so has some good local knowledge about the area and things to do and see during your stay.
