Thank you SO much for the 10/10!! 🙌💙 We’re really glad everything worked out smoothly once you reached out — the Gorge loves to play tricks with addresses 😅🗺️ but we’re happy we could get you on the right path in minutes!
So glad the cabin was cozy, clean, and that the hot tub was ready for instant relaxation 😍🛁✨ Sounds like the perfect weekend away!
You’re welcome back anytime! 😎🫶🌲
Cute little cabin, super rustic. Reminds me of staying with my grandparents in the WV mountains. We had an avoidable issue, but the owners were quick to fix it fairly. It's really close to all sorts of hiking, and there were plenty of local places to eat. The hot tub was great for unwinding. The kitchen had pretty much everything you'd need for basic cooking. If you're planning on cooking up a storm, bring your own stuff. What they had was fine for standard meals. The bathroom did its job, kind of small but Im 6'5" so take that with a grain of salt. We're planning to stay again this fall to see the color and make use of the firepit area.

This is SUCH a great review — thank you!! 🥰🌲🔥
We love that the cabin gave you those classic mountain, grandparents-in-the-WV-hills vibes — that’s honestly the highest compliment 🏔️💛
So glad the issue got resolved quickly and fairly, and that you were able to fully enjoy the hot tub, hiking access, and local food scene 🙌💦🍔 Sounds like you really leaned into the Gorge experience.
And YESSS — fall is chef’s kiss out here 🍂🔥 We can already picture you back by the firepit with those colors popping. Can’t wait to host you again!
Unfortunately, we weren’t able to stay in this cabin due to a winter storm and icy conditions that made it inaccessible. However, we were accommodated at Whisker Ridge instead, where we still had a great time. We were honestly pretty disappointed not to get the specific cabin we had carefully chosen for our trip. That said, the house was very clean. The hot tub was great, though accessing it was a bit difficult due to the small outdoor steps and we did have a fall. The beds were fairly comfortable overall, but the pillows in the master bedroom were extremely firm. We ended up swapping them out and using extra pillows from the other rooms.Despite those minor issues, we really did enjoy our stay. Hopefully next time we’ll be able to experience the cabin we originally planned for.

Thank you for the thoughtful review — and for your flexibility during the winter storm ❄️💛
We completely understand the disappointment of not getting the exact cabin you carefully chose. That’s always our goal, and weather is one of the few things we can’t control. We’re truly glad we were able to accommodate you at Whisker Ridge so your trip could still happen safely.
We also appreciate you mentioning the hot tub access and pillow comfort — that kind of feedback is incredibly helpful. We’re especially sorry to hear about the fall and hope everyone was okay. Safety is always a priority for us, and we’ll review that outdoor access again.
We’re happy you still had a great time overall and enjoyed the clean home and hot tub. Next time, we’d love to help you experience the cabin you originally planned for — hopefully with perfect weather and smooth access 🌲✨
Loved the location- we were super close to a ton of activities as well as many food options. Only down side was how hard the beds were. We ended up sleeping on the couch due to how hard they were.

Thank you for the 8/10!! 🙌💙 We’re so glad you loved the location — being close to trails, activities, and food spots is such a win 😍🌄🍔✨
And thank you for the honest note about the beds — I’m really sorry they weren’t comfortable for you 😔🛏️💛 We’re looking into replacing/upgrading mattresses so future stays are much cozier for sleeping.
We appreciate the feedback — and would love to host you again with an even better rest next time! 😎🫶🔥
The cabin was perfect for our needs. Close to all the activities, hiking, kayaking, and other things. Make sure you have a 4WD vehicle or you may not make it up the hill where the cabin is located.

We had a 4:00 pm check in time for Beary Secluded Cabin. We were anxious to arrive, but had a terrible time finding the cabin. On the reservation, the address is 56 Platinum Drive. No such address exists and we made numerous trips up and down the road before pulling out the reservation again and seeing turn by turn directions. The cabin is actually located on Sapphire Drive. That would have been nice to know or possibly highlighted on the reservation. Once we arrived, we were happy to discover the driveway was asphalted, was large, and offered space to turn around. We didn’t see many cabins with that kind of space. Also, a fire pit with chairs around it, and string lights from the cabin to the outdoor area. It was very nice. Upon entering the cabin, it was spacious and the set up very beautiful. The kitchen was fully equipped with anything a family would need—food processor, wok, mixer, coffee pot, toaster, dishes and cookware. I don’t think there was a thing missing! It didn’t take long to discover things weren’t as nice they seemed. We did an initial walk thru of the entire cabin. The upstairs bedroom had a dead mouse in the floor. It became obvious there had been, and was still a lingering rodent issue. There were mouse bait stations under beds, inside closets, in the laundry area, etc. There was a second dead mouse behind the stove. Mouse droppings everywhere! Also routine work needed. So much more to say, but not enough space. StayOver Mgmt. slow to respond.
Really nice secluded cabin. If you like hiking this place is centrally located amongst 100's of trails.
