I loved it!! I only have a few suggestions. No coffee cups, no martini glasses. No hose so we were not able to have a fire outside with our solo stove.Toaster could be upgraded. Only one TV workedBut REALLY loved our stay!!!
Clean, spacious Colonial conveniently located in Barnstable with access to 6A and Hyannis. Amazing tall ceilings and renovated interior with 2 living rooms, office area, porch, and sun room and large yard.
Our experience at 125 Wood Valley Rd Ext was nothing short of exceptional. The home was beautiful, serene, and thoughtfully prepared—exactly as described, and then some. Every detail was in order, from the cozy furnishings to the peaceful surroundings, offering comfort and calm from the moment we arrived. It was clear great care had been taken to ensure our stay was smooth and enjoyable. This visit easily ranks among my favorite vacation experiences, and I could see this home becoming a go-to getaway in the future.Highly recommend to anyone seeking relaxation, charm, and Cape Cod at its finest. Average property
Property is on a busy road . Stairs to go on the second floor very steep and somewhat dangerous. Property was clean and property manager was very helpful
Great weather! The bedrooms are a bit wonky- have to walk through bedroom to get to the back room …2 doubles in 1 room and 2 small twins in another. Not real good layout for more than 2 couples.
Really missed the outside table and fire pit in the pictures! No porch chairs. Plenty of space and nicely decorated. Fully stocked kitchen Close to bay beaches and playground

Hi Janey! So happy to hear you were able to enjoy some fabulous Cape Cod weather. Antique homes often have attached bedrooms which add to their uniqueness. I'll have my team address the outdoor furniture availability and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We hope to see you on the Cape again soon!
We really looked forward to this stay based on the photos and description, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. In summary, while this property has potential, the issues with cleanliness, pest control, inaccurate listing photos, and a lack of basic amenities made for a disappointing experience. I would not recommend this property without significant improvements.
Pros:
- The location was convenient and in a nice area.
- Some parts of the house were quite beautiful and matched the photos in the listing.
- There were ample linens provided for our stay.
Cons:
- The biggest issue was the infestation of stink bugs. They were crawling all over the walls and even inside the beds, which was absolutely unacceptable. This was not just a minor inconvenience—it made the space feel unhygienic and uncomfortable throughout the stay.
- The house had poor insulation, which made it difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature. There were consistent issues with both the heating and cooling systems throughout our stay.
- Basic amenities were lacking.
- The photos on the listing did not accurately represent the state of the property. While some areas were as depicted, others were far less well-kept and did not match the expectations set by the images.
- To top it off, there were extensive check-out tasks required for cleaning, despite the property itself not meeting basic cleanliness standards upon arrival. It felt unreasonable to ask so much from guests.
Every aspect of the rental went smoothly, and the house was very charming. The most outstanding aspect of the house is the expansive, hedge-lined yard, which is great for children to run around and play in.
Stylish place, great location, awkward bedroom/bathroom situation
We had a great (adult) family vacation in Barnstable. The place is stylish and has a lot of great living spaces for socializing, cooking, etc. A few things other renters should be aware of include (1) the listing refers to bedroom #3 being off of bedroom #2, so we were aware of that. It doesn't mention that bedroom #4 cannot be exited without walking through bedroom #1 or #2, so that made for an awkward sleeping situation. Additionally, there is one bathroom for all four bedrooms to share on the second floor, and it's jack and jill -style, so that made things challenging for using the restroom in the evenings. Finally, there were a lot of bugs coming inside the house from the outside, so we spent time vacuuming them every day. It made it better, and Del Mar sent someone to spray the outdoors, but it was inconvenient and a bit unpleasant. Still a great vacation for the family, however!
