The pool and house were clean, check in/out was easy. The only issue was the broom was ridiculous. A new broom is needed so guests can sweep properly.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
We enjoyed our stay at this house. It had all the accommodations we needed within the house.A heated pool was one of the main draws for us and it did not function. As best we can tell, no one came out to get the pool heater started or repaired, even though we were told they would.
Got into the house no problem but the heated pool was definitely not heated. I contacted the host via the Vrbo app, email and text. I did not get a response the entire 5 days I was there. So good thing it wasn’t a bigger issue - although a cold pool was unusable during our stay. The house overall is decent but could really use a deep clean. There is a layer of grime on most surfaces. The couch is broken. The towels to shower with are more of cleaning rags that aren’t even large enough to wrap around your body. There was no welcome basket as stated and very small amount of basic essentials - 1 tissue box, 2 rolls of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towel. It was quiet, nice view and we enjoyed the board & card games.

We felt that we got our moneys worth / it was a good value. Things that could be improved:Hot pads for the kitchenWine glassesPool Towels were pretty old / raggedy Communicating the pool cleaning schedule. We lost a half day of poolTime waiting for the poolCompany to clean the pool and had to stay out of it for 2 hours afterwards. There were 4 old broken rusty chairs at the side of the yard that were an eye sore. And an old patio cushion that was torn and needed to be discarded. The swing down by the water had ripped fabric … those things need to be thrown away or replaced. The back patio door was really dirty or needed to be painted. A few of the dining chairs were broken / unstable and unsafe, one of the futons was broken and had metal sticking out of it. The dishwasher leaks, and we even followed instructions. Landscaping in the backyard could be cleaned up by the water. Great things: plenty of blankets, amazing pool for small children!!! It has an accessible ramp. The couches were super comfy. Master bedroom Bed was very comfortable. Mixed reviews from our guests on the other beds.Close to downtown Ft Myers.Oh-if you like to walk, it’s not the best street for walking. Decent traffic and the cars went toooo fast. (Not the vrbo problem).Nice stereo, decent games… need new cards.Overall, we were pleased. The improvements necessary are not hard work or costly. A little bit of effort and replacement items would go a long way.

Nice stay perfect for a large group
Great lay out of home. We enjoyed our stay. It was nice to fish in the evening. We want to know what mattress was in the master bedroom it was so comfortable. Thank you
There was 11 of us plus three dogs. We had plenty of places to sleep, play, and talk. The pool was amazing-large and clean. The guys enjoyed fishing of the dock on the canal. One of the best large group stays I have ever booked. Beaches weren’t too far away.
The house was great! It had plenty of space and kitchen dishes for our needs. We were frustrated however as we specifically chose this location for its heated pool. The pool was NOT heated and we didnt get a person out to look at it until day 3 of 5 of our trip. We paid FOR a heated pool for the ENTIRE stay, not less than half of the stay. When pool technicians did arrive, they said that the owner was aware of this problem and they've been struggling with the heater working properly. This was quite frustrating for us, and the kids we had along. We also asked if there would be pool/sand toys so we wouldn't have to pack them (as space when traveling is sparce), and we were told there would be none. When we arrived there was a plethora, wish we would've knows so we didn't have to travel with as much. The stay was great, but communication and accuracy was not expected or what we paid for.

Response from VrboOwner on 24 Jan 2025
Hi Heather, we want our guests to feel confident about the amenities offered during their stay, and we’re sorry that your experience with the pool and communication wasn’t what you expected. After following up with the homeowner, they wanted to share the following:- The pool heater is set to maintain 88°F, but unseasonably cold weather during your stay caused it to struggle. A technician was sent out promptly to adjust the settings, but we regret this wasn’t resolved sooner.- Pool toys are not advertised as part of the home’s amenities since availability depends on what previous guests leave behind. While there were toys during your stay, we cannot guarantee this in advance. We appreciate your feedback so we can continue to improve and help this homeowner provide guests with the 5-star service they are known for.

Nice place to stay.
stay. I Was really impressed by how well this home was set up. If you were on business trip it had an office that you could do business out of. Very clean, Kitchen set up for any cooking you wanted to do. We did not use any outdoor grills or the pool but they were available to use. All in all a nice place to stay.
We had a great time at the Turtle House! It was the perfect size for 3 families with children of all ages.
There were a couple of hiccups...when we got there, the one toilet had a leak, but they had a plumber come out to fix it right away. There were a few things broken, including the couch. They claimed they knew about it, but didn’t fix it or change it during our stay. And the oven is ancient, so it took a little bit to figure out how to use.
Other than those minor issues, we loved the house. It was a great size and we loved the open space. We would definitely recommend it to others.
Overall the stay was wonderful. The pool started turning green half way through the week. The pool guy did show up and shocked it but it never really cleared. We still had a wonderful time. We enjoyed fishing off the dock. Neighborhood is quiet. The oven is very small, making it hard to cook for 12 people, but we managed. I would stay again for sure.
The neighborhood and the property are just okay. There weren’t enough bath or beach towels for all the people it said it slept. The air has a hard time keeping up in the afternoon because the covering for the back door needs upgraded. The mattresses and kitchen supplies could use a little upgrading as well. The grill was really dirty with so much grease it caught the aluminum foil on fire and melted it. The outdoor tv stopped working, I sent a message, got a response that they were going to call the property manager and call me back. I didn’t get a call until the next day. I’ve stayed in many VRBOs, so I’m hoping that this was just because the property seems fairly new to the sight.
There was a slight hiccup at check in when the code didn't work to get in the house but it was resolved within minutes. The house was clean and was stocked with plenty of supplies such as toilet paper, garbage bags, paper towels, hand soap and dish detergent. The showers are equipped with shampoo and conditioner pumps so if you need it it's available We were unable to figure out how to use the oven but were able to use the toaster oven for everything we needed it for anyway. The beds were super comfortable however the living room furniture sat very low and was a struggle for my 87 year old mother to get up from. It was also hard for us plus sized girls with bad knees. The pool was absolutely amazing though and since most of the time was spent either in or around it, the living room wasn't used very much anyway. The ramp walk down into the pool was extremely helpful for my mother and it was nice having plenty of room to float around all day without feeling like we were on top of each other. We would not hesitate to book again.
