Close to Mirror Lake and the charming Main Street, Spotted Owl offers you the getaway to the best of all worlds! This cottage is equipped with a convenient ground floor full bath and downstairs 1 King bedroom and a twin bedroom which share a hallway bath.. The kitchen is completely equipped and detailed for any level of cooking you may desire! *******This home has stairs to the 2 bedrooms and bath on the lower level. While a handrail and lighting are provided for safety, this may not be an appropriate home for guests with mobility issues or other physical limitations.

Enjoy your porch while sipping your evening beverage of choice, watching the sun set over the western North Carolina mountain plateau, enjoying a very peaceful setting and sounds of nature all around. With the proximity of town, you can stroll home after your evening of dining, the theater, or enjoying the music at the park! Highlands Greenway Oak Lane Trail entrance is just about 200 feet if you go out the front door to the left. Look for the stone steps. This trail crosses a crystal clear creek and is a great spot for the perfect vacation picture, hiking, and connecting with nature.

perfect location!

The property is exactly as pictured. We enjoyed walking around the town and neighborhood. The TV doesn't subscribe to all of the apps that are pictured on it. Other than that it was a great stay!

Getaway with newborn

Perfect little getaway for my husband and I with our 6 week old baby. Great proximity to town but still quiet and tucked away. Will definitely be back!

Great for a small family

Great location. Loved being in town but also in the woods. Fit our small family well. Had everything we needed. The door at the top of the stairs locks so we were able to let our toddler walk around without worrying about him falling down the stair, which was great!

Excellent place to stay!

This was the perfect place for our family to stay. The updates made to the cabin were really nice and made for a very comfortable stay. The proximity to downtown made for an easy walk. We will definitely be booking again in the future!
