Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. The location was good, very private and quiet. We were able to enjoy fires every night outside and a couple fires inside by the pool. We discovered a couple of trails behind the cottage, but it was a bit chilly to go to far, something to explore in summer. It had all the amenities you would need and it was a quick drive to either Huntsville or Bracebridge. Overall, I would stay here again.

Beautiful setting for family fun

We had a wonderful stay. The location was perfect for visiting the charming nearby towns (Baysville, Huntsville, Bracebridge) and fun activities (ice skating, sleigh rides, and dog sledding.) We loved the heated indoor pool and outdoor hot tub. The house is spacious and has everything you need. Thanks to host, Abdul, for providing such a great place for our winter vacation!

Excellent weekend getaway

I had a great time at this Muskoka Forest Chalet. Incredible onsite amenities. Modern finishes. Good nearby restaurant. Abdul was prompt and respectful in his communication. Will definitely book again.

Fantastic weekend and host

Abdul is a wonderful host - super prompt, clear and helpful. The property is large, spacious and clean. Our family had a wonderful time in the swimming pool - lots of pool toys to make for extra fun. Beds were comfortable and huge kitchen. Would definitely recommend!

The outside was sadly neglected. The front entrance was unkept and unwelcoming. The back yard was haphazard and almost unusable. The inside was spacious and clean and the pool area was great. The linens were insufficient for the number of guests and some of the bed linens were of very poor quality. The cookware was totally inadequate and what was available was very old. We enjoyed our stay but found in many ways this place was overpriced.

Thanks for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the space, pool, and overall stay. We’ve since updated all the cookware so the kitchen is now much better equipped. For linens, we change them very frequently and regularly replace them with new sets, but we’ll make sure to double-check that everything provided meets the standard our guests expect. As for the outdoors, being in Muskoka means nature is always part of the charm, but we do have a landscaping company that maintains the property as well as a mosquito control service that treats the grounds regularly. We’ll keep working to make the outdoor spaces even more welcoming. We really appreciate your comments—they help us keep improving. We’re glad you enjoyed your time here and hope to host you again!
