You’ll be instantly charmed by the wood-lined coziness of the unique Captain’s Place, a handsome 1903 two-story in north Lincoln City, steps from the beach. Located only one home down from public beach access with a staircase to miles of sandy beach, this home retains nostalgic charm as it spoils you with modern luxuries, including a hot tub on the outside deck. The home’s inviting living room has leather chairs and a sofa surrounding a huge flat-screen TV and a sweet gas fireplace with a river-rock hearth. A dining table looks out paned windows to the quiet street outside, or you can dine facing the ocean on one of the decks outdoors. The fully equipped kitchen also houses a washer and dryer and a bedroom and bathroom just around the corner. Climb down a few steps to another bedroom with a king bed, bathroom, and French doors that open to the hot tub. Walk up to the two adorable bedrooms with a shared half bath, one bedroom with its own gas fireplace and the other with a private deck. You’ll love the feeling of history and the warmth of the honey-hued wood lining every wall and ceiling, courtesy of the retired Columbia Riverboat pilot who built the home at the turn of the 20th century. You’re minutes from dining, shopping, golf, hiking, and the Chinook Winds Casino but ensconced in a residential neighborhood that will make you feel right at home. Place was perfect for a quick family get together. Close to the beach and to town and great family space to gather in evenings. Kitchen was well stocked, bedrooms were good size and place was very clean. Would gladly stay again!

Very sweet, cosy, comfortable house. The beds were super, the kitchen well stocked, and we enjoyed feeling like we were tucked into a beautiful captain’s retreat. Great location. Close to everything, but down off the main drag so we were out of the mouse and traffic. Really enjoyed our stay.,

Came to stay for my mom's 79th birthday. Family from Idaho, Nevada And Wyoming came. The house was just perfect for the 7 of us. Loved every minute! What an amazing place! Clean, cozy and in the perfect location. We will be back!

A little smaller than the pictures make it look. Some things weren’t working like the door to the bathroom and the dishwasher. NONE of the fireplaces would work, even with the “troubleshooting”, so it was a little cold using space heaters. Oven took forever to heat up and cook, but beds were comfy and the location is fantastic for easy beach access and a beautiful view.

Loved the location and the cabin was great!

We LOVED how close the cabin was to the beach- just past one house and down the stairs! We could easily come and go to the beach first and last thing each day and anytime in between our excursions around the coast. Low tide was especially fun to explore. The bedrooms in this cabin worked out perfectly for the 7 of us. Loved listening to the ocean out on the upper patio. The property manager was very responsive and great. Look forward to our next visit!!

Friendly Home!!

The Captains Place was a wonderful home where our family could gather to celebrate and celebrate enjoy time together. Plenty of room on the back deck to clean and celebrate a crabbing adventure. Kitchen had amenities to cook and serve a large family meal. Young children and teen were entertained by the easy beach access and toys at the property. We were grateful to have been able to use this friendly home as our own!!

Adorable Cottage

Full of charm and comfort, this house was a pleasure to rent. Most rentals are stocked with minimal items in the kitchen, but not this house. It is everything you need and more if you are inclined to cook. Very close to the stairs that lead to the beach, nice deck, views, and you can hear the ocean. I would rent this house again in a heartbeat.

A magical trip!

We loved our stay here. If you sleep upstairs you can hear the ocean while you sleep. We used the jacuzzi which was very nice. Its a very short walk to the beach down some stairs, even in winter we loved walking on the beach. We cooked breakfast every morning, the stove is very nice and new. We did some laundry the washing machine and dryer are newer as well. Its a very charming cabin, so it was perfect for a cozy wintertime stay! We would stay here again happily!!!

Home is fantastic with so much charm, about 20 steps to the stairs leading to the beach. Close to everything in town. We will definitely be staying again. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the world go by and the kids were on the beach everyday. A few notes, the heater in the lower bedrooms gets hot to the point we were worried it would set the white side table on fire. The top to the hottub is water logged and takes 2 people to pick up with out hurting yourself. The bbq is an after thought not cleaned or maintained, we didn't use it. None of these things made for a negative experience it is a great home, just a fyi to Meredith lodging and owners.

Book Club Girls Weekend

Cozy house. Great location. Hot tub was clean, private and comfortable. Never needed the heat during our stay so no comment about how the heating or cooling works. Kitchen well appointed with most things (no blender).Would definitely go back! A little info about the layout in case there are people with mobility issues- Lighting in the house is not bright and the stairs are the type typical to an old house. The only room on the main level is the bunk bed room. Upstairs are the queen and double beds rooms. Down a split level about 7 steps to the king bed.
