About this property
Beach & Trees, beachfront Siesta Park
Summary:
This charming country coastal four bedroom home is tucked among the peppi trees in the sleepy beachside enclave Siesta Park. Enjoy the perfect South West holiday just a few steps from a secluded beach on the edge of the pristine waters of Geographe Bay.
The Space:
If you are looking for a weekend away or a week's holiday with two families, this house is perfect for your stay. This single storey home has been furnished with comfort and space as priorities, meaning a relaxing break for everyone. With two lounge areas, a games room and a large back yard, it is easy to spend quality time together or enjoy some more secluded downtime. Add to this that you are only 50 metres from the beach itself and you have the perfect holiday location!
The four bedrooms are simply furnished in a laid-back, beachy style. The master has a king bed with a walk-in robe and en suite (shower, vanity & WC). There is also a small bed in this room that can be made up for a toddler upon request - it is not suitable for bigger kids or adults. A second queen room and two twin (single) rooms are located slightly away from the master, making the latter a nice option for someone wanting a little more space on your trip away. The main bathroom has a bath, shower and vanity, and the WC is separate, located just off the laundry. Perfect for those staying a little longer or making a pit stop after time on the road, the laundry has a washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities.
The fully equipped kitchen is located alongside the dining area, lounge and games room, making up a family room perfect for spending quality time together. However, a separate lounge at the entrance of the house makes arguments over the remote a thing of the past, as both areas have a TV with smart capabilities (one smart TV, one with chromecast). The kitchen is kitted out with an electric oven, ceramic cook top, fridge/freezer, microwave, walk-in pantry and dishwasher, making home cooking a breeze. The games area with a pool table is the perfect gathering place for an after dinner tournament and chat, with added seating for spectators (or a rest between shots!) and the sliding doors here open onto the outdoor entertaining area, meaning you can take a rest and enjoy some drinks and nibbles in between rounds. For you comfort in all seasons, the house has ducted air-conditioning throughout as well as a reverse cycle AC unit in the open plan living area. There are also pedestal fans provided for use in other areas as required.
The outdoor space features a generous outdoor patio area complete with a new gas barbecue, and a beautiful leafy back yard with plenty of shade thanks to the surrounding native plants. You will love relaxing here, enjoying the sights and sounds of wildlife in the garden, plus the added bonus of a tree swing for the kids. You may even spot a ringtail possum (night time) or quenda (daytime) if you are lucky.

Guest Access:
The whole house is exclusively guest access. This home is located on an open block - we request that guests please remain on the property, and do not enter neighbouring property grounds at any time.
The Neighborhood:
Located just 2.5 hours away from Perth, and within easy driving distance from popular hotspots Dunsborough (15 minutes), Yallingup (20 minutes) and Margaret River (30 minutes), this is the perfect base to explore everything our region has to offer. The best news? You don't have to visit Margaret River township to enjoy some of the most famous and world class wine, as there are dozens of cellar doors to choose from all the way down the Cape. The nearest cellar doors to Siesta Park are within a 10 minute drive (Flametree, Lentedal, Palmer and Blind Corner), and there are numerous local operators offering winery and brewery bus tours. For the beer lovers out there, nearby Busselton is home to two fantastic tap rooms - Rocky Ridge and Shelter Brewing Co.
Siesta Park is a sleepy beachfront enclave located in between Busselton and Dunsborough, on the beautiful shores of Geographe Bay. This hidden gem is known locally for its long white beaches and calm waters. Popular for crabbing, fishing, boating and beach walks or just chilling out away from the bustle of the two nearby towns. It is also the place to be for keen anglers when the snapper are running, as this is one of the few locations they can be caught from the beach. A delightful spot for a family holiday and the best location without the crowds.
It's not just about summer here, despite its popularity thanks to the glorious weather; all year round, even when we may be less blessed with warm days and sunny skies, visitors can enjoy hikes, biking, surfing, off-roading, horse riding, cave tours, water sports, fishing, wine and beer tasting, and generally eating and drinking one's way around the area! Visit in spring to catch the whale migration and wild flower season, or in autumn to enjoy quieter beaches and excellent surf.
Please see the Guidebook for our personal recommendations on where to eat, drink, shop and what to see & do in this fabulous region. This list is by no means exhaustive, however, so please get in touch if you need any pointers ahead of your stay.
The Margaret River Wine Region is one of the most prestigious winemaking areas in the world. Considered a “boutique” region, production is relatively small and quality-focused. The unique microclimates and fabulous soils here mean that producers are able to make some of the world’s best Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, along with a host of other single varietal and blend wines; most wineries will have a good selection of options, including various sparkling wines, Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz if the flagship varieties aren’t your cup of tea. Many of these wineries are also home to phenomenal restaurants, and your dining options will range from full tasting menus to casual pizzas or grazing boards. If you have any particular restaurant on your wish list, we strongly recommend booking ahead all year round. In peak summer season (December-February), bookings are essential and may need to be made several weeks or months in advance. Please contact us directly if you would like tailored recommendations for your self-guided winery and/or brewery tour. If you have time, we highly recommend buying a ticket onto one of the many locally operated winery and brewery tour buses, for an unforgettable day out of excellent food and drink.
Getting Around:
Visitors to the region will need a car to get around, as public transport infrastructure is practically non-existent in the region. Having a car means visitors can make the most of a visit to the South West, and experience the true diversity of this spectacular area.
This home is located in Siesta Park, a quiet beachfront enclave between Busselton and Dunsborough. There is a bike and footpath that runs along the shoreline, to Busselton in one direction, and to Dunsborough in the other. Guests can bring bikes and scooters, or hire these locally - some local hire companies will deliver the bikes to your accommodation. Busselton and Dunsborough are also part of an e-scooter initiative.
The closest amenities are located at Vibe Siesta Park, the service station at one end of Siesta Park Road. There are a few basic groceries available here, and they provide great fresh food, coffees and juices for your morning or lunchtime fix. Guests will need a car or bike to get to the bigger shops, with the nearest supermarket located at Vasse Village (Coles). This area is also home to some lovely local restaurants, boutiques and a great bakery, so it is well worth a visit beyond grabbing your groceries.

About the host
Hosted by South West Holiday Properties
I have lived in the South West of Western Australia for 30 years and fondly call it home. I love that there is always a sheltered beach within a 15 min drive ( if the one on your doorstep is a bit windy!), open spaces and National Parks, magnificent wineries, and friendly people. It's a pleasure to share this place with travelling guests, and I hope they also enjoy what this spectacular corner of Australia has to offer.
