Latte's Nest Point Lonsdale

Latte’s Nest is everything you need for your next getaway. Light, bright and welcoming in a quiet street with plenty of established trees and native wildlife.

This comfortable property is the rear of two units and is provided with a secluded location. The modern interior offers an open plan kitchen, living and dining area that has all the necessities you need including evaporative cooling for those hot summer days as well as ducted gas heating to keep you snuggly warm on winter getaways.

Dual aspect glass sliding doors open onto a small courtyard where there is an outdoor setting for six and BBQ, as well as side gate access to the vacant block next door, for easy access to take the dog on your morning walks. This area is ideal for small dogs or older dogs who don't need a lot of space.

There is room enough for the family or a group of friends escaping for the weekend. You can choose to stay in and cook up a storm or try out the local wine bar and cafes in the village. A casual 20-minute stroll to the Springs Beach or a bit further on to the Front Beach and shops. Take some time out and recharge your batteries.

Good but could be so much better
After reading many reviews I expected to stay in the cleanest property we've ever rented but sadly that wasn't the case. Bit grubby. House needs a thorough deep clean everywhere. BBQ obviously wasn't cleaned properly so it caught on fire when we used it! Could have been a huge disaster but we put the flames out but lost our dinner. Thankfully the local real estate agency organised for a BBQ cleaner to come out. The furniture is a mish-mashand very cheap. Soft furnishings also very cheap. If the owner spent money on top quality furnishings the unit could look so much better. There is far too much (mismatched) cutlery, utensils, crockery and kitchen ware. The cupboard and drawers were all a complete mess because there is just far too much stuff! There are things you don't need in a holiday rental but missing things that holiday goers do actually need. The pantry is a mess and both the pantry and fridge filled with well-out-of-date foodstuffs, like years out of date! There were used shards of bath soap left in the bathroom cupboard. I don't know about you but when I rent a house I don't like to feel like I'm using old things the previous guests have used and left behind. I wish the cleaners would remove all unnecessary items and just leave a few basic pantry, first aid and cleaning supplies. And new/unopened things. Enjoyable stay but if the owners gave the place a deep clean, upgraded the furnishings, decluttered and sorted all the cupboards the property could be 5*.

Home was clean and tidy and ample for our needs.
Unfortunately I had to contact the agent numerous times re key access. Also having to bring our own linen and towels was unexpected, as most other similarly priced vacation homes supplied them. Also contacted agent numerous times as to whether basic staples were included such as tea coffee, salt & pepper, toilet rolls, and was told best to bring my own. As it turned out, there were staples and I had brought lots of extras that I didn't need to bring. I felt that the agent knew very little about the property.
