Fishing Getaway

This was the perfect place to stay for a father/son weekend fishing trip out of Crystal River. The house was close to restaurants and amenities like Publix. We especially enjoyed evenings on the covered porch watching all the boats come and go on the river. A great way to relax after long days out on the water!

This vacation rental was clean, easy to access and affordable. My husband and I loved that we could dock our boat at the property. We explored the River and the Gulf. This was a relaxing visit. The house was lovely.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The home was exactly as described and very clean. The beds were very high so I opted to put the mattress from the pull out couch on the floor in the living room for my kids and I to sleep on. This was very comfortable and worked perfectly for us. I would definitely stay here again.

An Awesome Girl’s Trip

My girlfriends and I wanted a nice place to stay while we explored the manatees. This house was amazing! Right on the river, kayaks for us to use, the firepit and huge screened porch, all of it was amazing. We will definitely stay here again. The owner goes above and beyond to make your stay relaxing with all the extra amenities. I can’t say enough about our experience!

Perfect Escape

My husband and I wanted to getaway for a few days of relaxing and fishing and this was the perfect escape vacation rental! We loved the spacious layout of the family room and kitchen with big open views of the water. House is very clean and well equipped and we really enjoyed sitting on the porch with our morning coffee or end of the day with cocktails watching the boats go by. Great location! We would definitely stay here again!

Location is ideal

This was the 2nd time we’ve stayed at the cottage. Love the location to the springs. We enjoyed watching dolphins and manatees swimming right behind the house. The cottage is perfect for our family of 4. Well stocked kitchen and the propane grill was a nice addition from our last stay. The kids loved going to breakfast at Florida Cracker by boat& we really enjoyed Marguerita Grill for dinner. We are already planning our next trip.

Beautiful home-great location

This cottage is tastefully and comfortably furnished, was spotless upon arrival, and has every amenity you need, plus. The location is ideal, with an inviting screened porch overlooking the river, and plenty to do nearby. It is a very easy and leisurely paddle up river to the Springs to see Manatee, and there is ample opportunity to see the Manatee and other wildlife from the comfort of the porch. I wished I could have stayed longer and will return.

Loved life on the river! All types of boats gently floating by searching for the beloved manatees that leave the springs to go in search of food and return to warm up. Three Sisters Spring has easy and close up viewing of the manatees.The house was easy living being well stocked, clean and comfortable. It was amazing the clean up after the hurricanes destroyed so much.Thanks for a great time!

Im still thinking about our wonderful stay at this beautiful home by the river. It exceeded all my expectations! This house is very spacious and beautifully renovated and decorated. Everything appears to be brand new. Everything you need is provided from kitchen tools to bath products. We really enjoyed cooking in the huge kitchen while watching the boats go by on the river. And I haven’t even mentioned the best part—that humongous screened porch! We spent hours out there watching the water and the dolphins and manatees float by! There is plenty of seating we had eight friends over for dinner one night and there was seating for even more—there’s even a gas fire table for ambiance!I cannot recommend this place enough. It is located on the best and most beautiful part of the river and just a short paddle to the head spring. From the hidden driveway, to the private backyard to the kayaks and canoes to paddle from right off from the house could not be better!Don’t hesitate to book this house. You won’t regret it. We will be back!

Beautiful view on the quieter river channel. Great location ans access to everything Homossassa has to offer. Very close to Crystal River and the Chaz river. We kayaked every day in all directions and were mezmorimzed by all of the manatee, birds, jimping fish, otters, and boat entertainment. Thanks for a great stay! Beds were supee comfy :)

Great location on the river. Cottage is cute and decorated in coastal decor. Kitchen, dining and living room is spacious.Down side was there were too many bugs. There is stagnant was behind the house. Not sure if there is a canal or if it’s just swampy. Tried to sit on screen porch but too many bugs in there to as one door on the porch didn’t close all the way and there were sandbags in front of it. Went inside to relax. I thought the couch and loveseat were too hard but my son didn’t. On the upside the side bed was comfortable. Beds in bedroom were very very high. We are fairly tall and still thought the were high. But they are pretty and quilts and decor is nice.Very clean cottage. Evolve was great to work with. If you have a boat and are going to be out all day I would recommend this place, GREAT location on the Homosassa River. We were fishing from the shore and just got bit up by bugs too much. Even with bug spray on.Oh, driveway is sand and can get kind of rutted out after a storm.

Hi Amy, we’re so glad you enjoyed the wonderful location on the river, coastal decor, and cleanliness of the cottage, but we’re sorry some aspects fell short of expectations. After sending your feedback to the owner, they’d like to share the following: - In Florida, it's important to be aware of pests like "no-see-ums," especially around dusk. These tiny bugs can be irritating. Using a high-concentration Deet, Cutter, or Deep Woods Off repellent can be effective in mitigating their presence. Additionally, there are natural remedies available, such as products using lemongrass oil. To further address pests, we have our yard regularly sprayed and apply pest control granules throughout the yard. This helps to keep the nuisance of bugs at bay. - Behind the cottage, there's a wetland, tucked away from both the river and the main residence, which is protected and regulated. Florida, wetlands are areas saturated by water, supporting specialized vegetation. Regulation safeguards against wetland loss and pollution. Wetlands serve vital functions for our ecosystem. - The door on the right side of the screened lanai is functional. Sandbags in front of the door are from previous hurricane preparations, as noted in the welcome binder. We'll relocate them near the boathouse to ensure they're out of the way. - The couch and loveseat are new which may explain the firmness. Thank you for your comment regarding bed height. It's important to note that furniture preference is subjective. - The driveway has received repairs, including grading and the addition of rocks to resolve the matter. We work hard to provide an outstanding guest experience and we look forward to hosting many satisfied guests.
