Great Value

The oldy world townhouse was clean, well appointment and roomy. 5 min walk to Nishioji station, one stop to Kyoto Station, so within easy access to everything, but away from the tourist hustle and bustle. Although we never met our host in person, by email he was super responsive and helpful. We would stay here again. Michael and Deborah

The house was very clean and well maintained. We had one major concern; when other guests (not from our party) smoked outside the smoke would come into the lower part our unit. Minor thing; the list of places to eat is a bit outdated or missing information (ie needing a reservation). Overall, the stay was pleasant and gave us the opportunity to experience a different way of living while on vacation.

Authentic living

Great property. York need to pay a Kyoto hotel tax on line before you will get check in instructions. We hadn't understood that. Once we got hold of John, he helped us out but that part was a challenge. Everything worked out and the stay was great and they worked with us when we needed an extension. Highly recommend.

大人3名、柴犬1匹で宿泊しました。 お部屋は広く日用品も揃っていて、とても良かったです(洗ったお皿などを拭く布巾がなかったので、手持ちのタオルを使いました)。 犬を留守番させたまま出かけられるお宿は少ないので、大変有り難かったです。 2階への階段が急だったり、廊下がギシギシしたり、襖の開け締めに難儀したりしましたが、趣きがあって逆に好き。 トイレや洗面所、お風呂は綺麗にリフォームされていて新しく、不潔感は一切ありません。 ほんのちょっとだけ残念だったのは、駐車場が少し歩いた場所にあるため、大量の荷物の積み下ろしが少し面倒でした(目の前に駐車場がありますが、そこではありません)。 少し歩いたと言っても細い路地を抜ければ30秒程度。1分はかかりません。 宿の前に車を横付けしての積み下ろしもできました。ただ、目の前の駐車場へ近隣の方々の車の出入りがあるので注意が必要です。 スタッフの方とは顔を合わせていませんが、とても細やかに連絡をしてくださり不安はありませんでした。 私がチェックイン＝鍵を受け取ることだと理解できておらず(最初に受け取ったPDFにちゃんと書いてあったにも関わらず)、何度もメッセージを送信させてしまったりしましたが、都度ご対応いただけました。 徒歩5分くらいのところにスーパーもあり、静かで便利で広くて過ごしやすいお宿ですので、次の機会も利用させていただきたいと思います。 お世話になりました。ありがとうございました。
