About this property

This property requires AWD or 4WD.. This is not a hotel. This is a family, log cabin, home that sets one mile from the heart of Little Switzerland NC. The cabin Willow is a 2 bedroom 2 1/2 bath. Just outside the front door there is a pond. This cabin has everything to offer in a mountain getaway. Come enjoy the sights and sounds as fire flies blink by and frogs sing to you at night. Enjoy the night sky the stars are bright. In the quiet of the morning look out for deer taking a drink from the pond. It is truly breath taking and really makes you feel a part of nature. Willow is hidden away but also close to many things such as the town of Little Switzerland and the Little Switzerland Inn. There is a 5 star restaurant at the Switzerland Inn called The Chalet. A coffee shop called “Books N Beans” as well as a little general store and “The Switzerland cafe” all in the town of Little Switzerland.. There are many places to hike and a lot waterfalls to see just off The Blue Ridge Parkway. ,
Asheville, NC is an hour south. Boone, NC is an hour north. There is so much to do and Willow is centrally located to all these things. Also just staying at Willow makes you feel so relaxed. All you will need to bring is food and any personal things. There is a Walmart less then 6 miles from the cabin Willow. If you want a vacation that feels like you've really gotten away, Willow is your place to stay.

Beautiful cabin!

My fiancé and myself had a wonderful weekend together in this beautiful cabin! The location is beautiful waking up to sit on the porch during the cool mornings with a hot cup of coffee over looking the pond and being able to watch the wildlife in the area! Plus its next to a nice little town with plenty to do in the area!!

Mountain Stay

Willow is a great place to rest after a long day exploring the numerous stops along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The location is conveniently located near the parkway without all of the traffic. Marsha was an excellent host, with great communication, willing to help with whatever we needed.

Cute Cabin

Cabin is as described with kitschy Native American decor. The kitchen had the basics needed to prepare meals. Be aware there is a regular coffee pot, so bring your coffee grounds. If you want to build a fire inside or outside, Walmart sells firewood in their Lawn and Garden section. If you are a light sleeper, be aware that the bedrooms are one over the other. You can hear whatever someone does upstairs, even when they roll over in bed, it creaks. This bothered me, but not my husband. I thought this was a secluded cabin for some reason. It does have houses around it. They're not on top of you, but you have one to the side and several behind the cabin. Also, if you are looking for peace and quiet, this cabin is right off a road that gets a good bit of traffic. No other real noise though. Just sharing since some people are looking for absolute quiet when looking for a place to stay. Marsha was very responsive and nice. Very easy to work with. The cabin is conveniently located to the BRP and Little Switzerland. There is also a Walmart close by in Spruce Pine if you need anything.
