Firefly Resort: House & Cottage on 10 acres. BBQ deck, pool, tennis court, lawns

Welcome to Firefly Resort. Ten acres of lawn, gardens and bushland await you! The House and Cottage combined accommodate up to 18 guests. An in-ground pool and inner lawns are framed with hedgerows and paths that lead to the cottage orchard and larger grassy areas, which gently slope down to the front dam. An ideal space for a romp, pet exercise, or an afternoon/sunset picnic. With its location and all the amenities on offer, Firefly Resort is ideal for large group/family getaways.

Together, Firefly House and Cottage accommodate up to 18 guests.
The house welcomes 10 guests, with 3 bedrooms (2 ensuite), large kitchen, and adjacent open plan dining. The dining area boasts valley views, and leads to the BBQ entertaining deck and large in-ground pool. A wraparound verandah steps onto hedgerow-lined lawns, leading to a natural bush setting at the rear of the property, and the cottage and open grassy areas at the front.

Firefly Cottage accommodates another 8 guests. The cottage's open-plan living area contains kitchen, dining, log fire... and yes a full size pool table! Also downstairs is the bathroom with a spa bath, and a sofa bed for 2 guests. Upstairs consists of a large timber loft bedroom, set up with two beds for 4 guests. An additional self-inflating (very comfy) queen airbed can be set up for an extra 2 guests. The loft balcony is a great place to enjoy sunsets over the entire property and the valley beyond.

The pool area and tennis court - together with the grassy areas, pergola, firepit, orchard and rear bushland - provide for great outdoor experiences at the property all year round.

The property is located In the Manning Valley; 30 mins from Forster on the coast, and 30 mins from Gloucester … gateway to Barrington Tops National Park. A quick 5 min drive finds you in Krambach village, with country pub and bistro, and coffee shop opposite. A 15 minute drive finds you in the village of Nabiac, with more pubs, cafes, bottleshop, mini-supermarket and service station.

At day's end, the BBQ/Entertaining deck is the place to be - relaxing and dining with your group as you enjoy sunset views over the valley.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The large spaces and well-maintained pool were a great feature, and the children particularly enjoyed watching the ducks. Mike was very friendly and accommodating to the children’s interests, even organising a horse feeding opportunity for them with the neighbouring property.

We had a wonderful stay. The style of both the house and the cottage are beautiful and Mike was a great host.We especially loved the pool and bbq area and really enjoyed the rural setting in general. The area itself is also stunning. We loved it all, from the beaches and golf courses in Forster/Tuncurry to the chicken schnitzels in the Krambach pub. Great area and wonderful accommodation.

Great for a short break

Had a great weekend here with a large group of friends. Place was perfect with a pool and games room and ducks wandering by the house each day. Close to Foster too for a day trip. Would stay again.

A delightful retreat you won’t want to leave

Nice Weekend Getaway

The property was really nice overall with lots of things to do. The pool was a great place to be cause it was quite hot. We really enjoyed the many facilities available at the property. Awesome stay!

Had a great weekend with my family here. Mike and Christine were great host and were very welcoming. We had lots of fun around the pool table and playing darts. Perfect for a group

We stayed at Mike's place when competing as a team in a rowing regatta in Taree. It was the perfect place to come back to at the end of the day and jump in the pool. There were so many sleeping options which made it perfect for our group. We will be back again next year.

A great place for a group to come together!

We had a wonderful time at Mike and Christine's place. A group of us wanted to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday and this ticked all of the boxes. Relaxing Family Wedding Stay

We have recently spent a few days at Mike and Christines Country Retreat with a large group of family and friends for a Wedding. It was a perfect blend of tranquillity and family time. The rooms were spacious and clean with more than enough room for our large group. The large kitchen living area was an amazing gathering area. The large, covered deck was a great place for the Ceremony and a big enough area to sit and catch up with all our group. It was nice to relax around the pool while still being close to the group on the deck. We would definitely recommend The Country Retreat to anyone looking for a relaxing stay. Mike and Christine were friendly and very helpful.

Hidden gem at Firefly

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Firefly Retreat. If you’re seeking a plenty of space to relax and great facilities to match this is your spot. The group got plenty of use out of the tennis court, swimming pool, pool table and dart board. Mike the host was great to deal with and in regular contact. Close enough to Nabiac shops and a great country pub at Krambach. Great stay.

Great large group stay!

We booked Mike’s property for an extended family getaway with 14 people. We made full use of the lovely property using both homes and the grounds including the fire pits and tennis court. It was very comfortable accommodation with good beds, great fireplace and additional heating available. We cooked several meals for the group and the kitchen was well stocked. We appreciated the provision of plenty of supplies, towels, spare blankets, firewood etc. The pool table and darts were fun too!

Amazing!

What a property to stay at! My friends and I had an absolute amazing time at this beautiful property. It was well equipped with everything you could need and/or want across the two houses. The place was super clean and tidy and had gorgeous country views. Mike (host) was super in his communication and support over the weekend and leading up to it. Could not have asked for anything more. Would easily come back and spend longer!
