About the host
Hosted by Nicole
Hi, as a seasoned traveller & Airbnb'er, I know what it takes to create a home away from home. The little touches that are there if you need them and the bits of inside information that only a local knows that I share with you for a true local experience. I hope you enjoy staying at our beautiful house and love what we have created just as much as I've enjoyed creating this experience for you.
Why they chose this property
Eversley house is located in Fitzroy, Victoria Australia (3rd most liveable suburb in the world!!) Fitzroy is known for it rows of terrace houses, rooftop bars, vintage clothing stores and amazing eateries.
A hop from the CBD, a skip from the Carlton Gardens and a jump from many many eatery streets (Brunswick st, Gertrude St, Smith st and Lygon St).
Cosmopolitan Fitzroy is the inner city abode of Melbourne's most fashion, food and drink conscious. If it's cool, it must be in Fitzroy - that mantra applies to everything from bars and cafes to clothing and hairdressing salons. Little wonder then at the multitude of photoshoots that occur on the back streets and the main ones of Fitzroy.
Once a bohemian hideaway, Fitzroy is now the home of eclectic doctors, university professors and corporates many with young families. With a multitude of parks and playgrounds it is a destination for the young and the young at heart.
The Eversley is located a mere 2 min walk to Brunswick Street, Fitzroy a vibrant, bustling and every changing destination. Boasting a plethora of local labels and designers of fashion and homewares, and a multitude of bars, bakeries, cafes and restaurants. Fitzroy is a great place from which to explore neighbouring suburbs (only a stone throw away) of Carlton, Collingwood and also a quick 10-15 min tram ride into the CBD.
Being well serviced by multiple tram lines, Fitzroy is also an ideal place to base yourself for travelling to outer suburbs.
Please also check out my Guide book to Fitzroy for a more in-depth review and recommendations of shops, bars and eateries.
Tram 11 - this tram goes down Brunswick St and also takes you into the CBD in 10 mins and down to Preston if you catch the tram going in the opposite direction.
Tram 86 - catch it from the corner of Nicholson and Gertrude st and it takes you down Smith St and also to the CBD.
