Relaxing Getaway!

We came to the area for a girls trip to the 100 mile yard sale! The rental was a perfect place for a couple day getaway. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The hosts were super friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The deer in the backyard were an added bonus!

We usually get a hotel in the area when we come to visit family. We wanted something that provided a kitchen and happened to find this listing. The apartment is charming, spotless, and super comfortable, with thoughtful touches throughout. We as a family of 4 ( myself, my husband, and 2 daughters ages 9 and 12) enjoyed our stay. This place has all you need and MORE!!! Great location- just minutes from Gillentown trailhead. It was a perfect place to stay over night(s) while we enjoyed 4-wheeling at SSRT during the day(s). The host(s) are very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We would absolutely recommend this place and will definitely return ourselves!!!!

Like new, spotlessly clean and comfy. Everything we could want or need was thought of from cold bottled water and snacks to morning coffee and toiletries. Hostess was welcoming but not overbearing. Rental is bottom floor of house but hosts living above were not an issue at all. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you, Marianne, for offering us this lovely rental.

Great apartment near State College

Last minute booking for a basketball tournament weekend for my daughter. Booking was easy. Heard from the property owner a few days before we would be there. Owners was very welcoming and added some nice extra touches to our stay. Our power went out due to a storm and the owners were right there to get the generator power on for us. The property is beautiful, very clean, the beds were comfortable. It was a little over 30 minutes to state college, not a bad drive. We plan to stay again! Great little hidden gem.

Beautifully appointed home

This is a fantastic place to stay if you want the feeling of being at home, while also feeling apart of nature. We spent a few days here enjoying the Snow Shoe Rails To Trails system. The hosts were amazing, assuring us that she was available at any time if we needed literally anything. The living quarters were absolutely beautiful, extremely clean, and the bed was super comfortable. The entire experience from check in to check out was flawless. The home has everything you need to cook all the meals you could imagine, all the toiletries necessary for every day life, and plenty of parking for a very large enclosed trailer and multiple side by sides. This property is set up off the road, where you can sit by the fire pit and take in the wilderness. We saw 7 deer all feeding around the backyard tree on our stay, which was awesome to see. I would definitely recommend this unit for anyone looking to escape the reality of city life and enjoy wildlife for a while.

Great place 30 minutes from State College

The apartment is beautiful, very clean and the hosts were wonderful. Communication was great. Upon arrival there was a gift basket of treats and a bottle of wine from a local winery. Lots of extra touches to make us feel welcomed. Beds were very comfortable. Lost power due to a storm, the power company was slow to restore power. Thankfully the owners were right there with a generator. It was a great place to stay, we plan to stay there again.

Great Place to Get Away

Checked into this Vrbo looking for a good place to relax and unwind. Our 4-day stay exceeded all of our expectations. Our host Marianne greeted us warmly as we pulled up and promptly helped us to settle in and filled us in on everything we needed to know about the place and the area. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and very well-maintained. There were many little nice touches----too numerous to mention, but suffice to say the hosts thought of everything and made sure we had all of the comforts of home. From the complimentary wine, gourmet teas, and snacks we really did feel right at home.The surroundings were very quiet and peaceful. We spent the daytime hours hiking in nearby state parks and then came back to the apartment to just sit and watch the herd of deer that gathered on the property every night. When you stay here ask the hosts about the elk viewing. It was great.Will definitely stay here again in the future..........maybe for a Penn State vs USC football game (USC fan here... but don't hold it against me!).Michael & Kelly

We had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at Marianna and Frank’s apartment. From start to finish, the communication was excellent. Marianna personally greeted us upon arrival, which made such a difference she took the time to walk us through everything, something you don’t always get and truly appreciated.She was incredibly attentive to our needs, especially traveling with our two children, which made our stay feel even more comfortable and welcoming. The apartment was spotless, with fresh linens, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need. Having access to the kitchen and laundry was also a huge plus and made our weekend that much easier.We can’t recommend this place enough and are already looking forward to returning next year!
