About this property

Comfortable Cottage Located Directly On The Water With Large Wrap Around Deck

Cottage is located on Molasses Pond which is 3 miles long. Waterfront living at its finest with a large wrap around deck to enjoy the loons, ducks and eagles etc. Wharf is attached to the deck for excellent swimming, fishing and boating, large enough to accommodate watercraft . There is a fire pit for evening enjoyment . Boating enthusiast will like our proximity to public boat ramp. ATV access trails nearby. This camp is not too intimidating for 2 people but will accommodate 8 . Heated and cooled by a heat pump system plus a wall mounted gas heater in the kitchen . Artisian well, and shed to store bikes etc. Beach towels not provided. Small local store with lunch counter only 10 miles away. Seafood and fresh vegetables available locally.

My husband and I stayed here with our 2 teens and our dog. It was quite comfortable place to just relax for the week. Our teens were happy to swim and also have WiFi & TV. We loved just eating on the deck or having our coffee while overlooking the lake. The water was pristine and we enjoyed seeing the ducks, geese, & loons along their daily rounds. We also brought our own kayaks and had fun exploring the lake.

My mother wanted to go to Bar Harbor. So my sister and I made it happen. We renterd the Lake house that we used only the down stairs as there are 3 bedrooms on the first floor and a area upstairs that I did not even look at. My sister went up there and said that it would be a nice area for children. The kitchen was nice sized and it had everything that we needed. The rental has a beautiful view of the lake. The house is rustic as I belive all of the homes in this area are. So if you are looking for the Hilton you might want to think twice. My mother loved the place. I believe we were about a 30 minute drive to downtown Bar Harbor. One day we went to the Co-Op and bought lobster and steamed them right at the rental. It was very quiet when we went arriving Labor day as I believe we were the only ones staying on the lake for the 5 days we were there. Once again this place is very rustic though the shower was modern. I would rent it again if I venture back to the area.

Everything about this cabin is absolutely perfect, with the exception of the bed. I need it perfectly dark in order to sleep, so we couldn't stay in the bed in the sun room which was a queen and very plush and comfortable. We were going to stay in the room closest to the bathroom but it only has a full bed not big enough for my husband and I. So we stayed in the only other room with a queen bed but this bed was so uncomfortable, the mattress was clearly older and all you felt were springs poking into your entire body. I don't even think they make mattresses with springs like that any more. But that was my only complaint other than that bed everything was perfect.

Absolutely perfect

My children loved this stay, the had so much fun, plenty of room in the camp, the deck was a hit when we weren’t in the water, the surrounding areas were perfect for exploring. We had a great time spending the Fourth of July here! Would love to make it a yearly trip.

Overall the cottage accommodated us perfectly. The two decks came in handy as well as the gas grill. There was plenty of kitchen wares to make meals and a bathroom with shower worked great. We met the owners in our check out and they are very nice people. We would highly recommend this cottage

Felt right at home

My sister’s and I were very impressed with the home. It was everything we expected and more. The view of the pond was amazing, we enjoined our morning coffee on the deck listening for the loons. Definitely plan to return for another Sister’s Weekend!!

Nice cabin on the pond

The cabin is in a great location. It’s right on a pond with a nice dock. It has a nice roomy kitchen, comfy bedrooms and a nice living room in which to relax. Outdoor space is very nice with direct access to the pond. Hosts were very nice and easy to communicate with.

Fall foliage trip

The location is beautiful. Lovely sunrise and sense views from the deck. Full moon rose over the water seen from the deck as well. House was clean, but a bit outdated. Beautiful area for photography.
