Newly Constructed 5000 SF Home with five (5) large bedrooms, three (3) large bathrooms and a large wrap around cedar deck with an outdoor hot tub. The house has stunning views of the Chittenden Reservoir and the Green Mountains from almost every room. The open floor plan is perfect for entertaining and enjoying the beauty of the Vermont countryside whether Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall. Walking distance to the Mountain Top Inn - perfect if attending an event, wedding or just want to grab dinner at their 4 star restaurant or enjoy a drink or more casual fare at the tavern. Everything is new in the home from the beds, linens, furniture etc...

Guests can enjoy a multitude of activities at the Resort next door (Cross Country Skiing, Equestrian Center, Clay Shooting, Snow Shoeing, Hiking, Spa Services) or near by attractions like Killington, Pico, Hathaway Farms, Chittenden Reservoir, Mountain Biking, Road Biking or numerous golf courses.

From the solitude of the home enjoy two living rooms, fully stocked kitchen, dining room, nicely appointed bedrooms (2 King bedrooms and 2 Queen bedrooms) and three full bathrooms, fire pit, indoor soaking tub, or outdoor hot tub. The home has several board games, flat screen Smart TVs, Xbox, Wifi, Chess Table to keep you and your guests busy or simply curl up on the couch overlooking the beautiful landscape while enjoying a good book by the fireplace, or enjoying the views while soaking in the outdoor hot tub.

We are looking for respectful guests who appreciate that my husband just finished building the home which took him over a year of weekends and every vacation day to make it the house it is today. Attention to detail, energy efficient and fine craftsmanship is evident throughout the home. We want our guests to feel welcome as they create special memories with their family at either a special event or reunion. Memories that you will cherish for a lifetime. We only plan to rent a portion of the year (one or two weekends per month) as we like to enjoy the home as well. Book early to secure your dates.

Wedding at Mountain Top Resort

Great location for attending the wedding at the nearby resort. House was very clean and user friendly. Hot tub wasn't working when we arrived but the owner was on top of it and it was fixed within 24 hours.

Awesome Vacation Retreat

The home was immaculate and fitted the online description accurately. Every room was comfortable and well appointed. We also appreciated the beautiful fall decor. Incredible views

We were blown away by the beauty of this home and the surrounding area. It is clearly well loved and shows in the details and how nicely maintained and cleaned it was. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. It was a real treat being right next to the horse pasture. The horses are beautiful and we went on multiple trail rides throughout the weekend.

A Great Family weekend!!!!!

We had an amazing stay. The house was beautiful, spacious with views from every room that took your breath away.. Check in was easy. The house had everything we needed including a hot tub. We attend a wedding at the Mountain Top Inn. My kids are still raving about it. Beautiful family memories were made. Thanks so much!

Annual ski trip with family and friends

We came to Vermont last year for the first time and stayed in a house at Killington. When we couldn’t get that house again, we found this one and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed the views, hot tub, ping pong, scrabble and all the space. Our families loved it. We ate at the Mountain Top Inn one night and our adult children went sledding. The food was great! The drive to go skiing was very manageable. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. We appreciate all you did to make our stay perfect!

Perfect family gathering place!

My niece was getting married at the Mountain Top Inn, so my family decided to turn the occasion into an opportunity to gather together. The house was perfect for 5 couples to get together. It was large, clean, and had all the amenities of home. The views were spectacular, the beds comfy, the kitchen lacked for nothing except a microwave. The large porch, hot tub, fire pit and gas grill were welcome additions to our long weekend. The location was convenient to the Inn restaurant and pub as well as many quaint country stores, micro-brew pubs and local attractions. You won't find anything better!

Thanks so much for the review. I will rethink the microwave- we have elderly family members with pace makers so that is why I purposefully didn’t get one. Wow… That was my first impression as I walked through the house upon arrival. The pictures online to not do this beautiful Home justice. It has a much more open floor plan and is much larger than I thought.It was spotless when we arrived and the owner was gracious enough to accommodate our need for linens at the last minute. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large and well-designed. The home provided the perfect backdrop for my sons wedding this past weekend at the mountaintop. Centrally located to all the activities. I can’t wait to go back and stay there again.

Beautiful property and home

What an incredible view!! We were literally in the middle of the beautiful and majestic Green Mountains and waking up to that view in the morning was indescribable. The house itself was absolutely gorgeous. It had everything we needed, and it was very comfortable and cozy and very clean. The gas fireplace honestly felt real, it threw heat like a real fire and created a lovely ambience in the room. The hot tub was very clean, very easy to use, we had no issues. Thank you to Yvonne and Rich, we really appreciate everything you provided to us! :)

We feel the same way about the view ... we laugh because we always run to take a picture of it and we have 200 pictures of the same view from the master or upstairs balcony. Hoeever, interestingly enough each one is different from the season and lighting Mother Nature is always changing it up. My husband and I love Vermont and spend every chance we can with family and friends exploring all that it has to offer. Every weekend as we trek back to New York, the kids beg to stay and we feel the same way. We hope you will love Vermont as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

My husband's nickname is "Bob Villa" because he is almost obsessed with home renovation projects. He really does great workmanship and it shows in our rental properties. He builds with the expectation that it is only for his family and he over builds everything - which is a good thing. This house is amazing. It is energy efficient with spray foam insulation, all new windows, LED lighting, insulation board and fiber cement siding . We designed the floor plan with the view in mind. What once was a cape with not one view of the lake/mountains became a brand new home emphasizing the view every chance we could. The decor has a rustic feel with warm colors to welcome the senses. The homes location is a pasture (with horses in the fall and winter) on to the lake and mountains beyond - it is breathtaking. We are within walking distance to the Mountain Top Resort for dining, spa or resort activities like horseback riding, boating, camps, cross country skiing, tubing, sleigh riding, etc...

What makes this property unique

The View.....Sunrise, During the Day, Sunset or the calm of the evening - its truly unique. Simply put- I love it and I hope you will too.
