Host very good communication.Beds comfortable. Having 2 kitchens was great.Enjoyed sitting around the fire pit and with a really wet rainy day we rnjoyed the pool room!
Great home and location. Several new upgrades to the kitchen enhanced the beautiful space. W head eight adults and there was plenty of room and space. From the pool table, fire pit to covered deck outside it was a great stay. Brett made it very easy. Answering pre-stay questions quickly and super easy check-in and check-out.
Fantastic house that provided every comfort that we needed. Brett the host was very easy to work with and very friendly and accommodating. Great accommodation to take your dogs - they enjoyed it too! They especially loved the walks to the beach. We plan on returning. Thank you!
The house was incredibly clean and well equipped for our stay. The host was extremely accommodating and extremely lovely. Would strongly recommend this accommodation for a weekend away with family and friends.
Great house for our adult children, spouses and 4 grandkids and dog to stay for weekend. Spacious, comfortable, well set up and quiet. Jan Juc a great spot
The property is amazing and host os very very good communicator. The property has everything you need for a relaxing weekend getaway. Kids enjoyed playing pool and adults had various areas to hang out and chit chat. Dogs have a good size backyard to roam around.
Èverything about the property was perfect for our stay. There were 13 of us and we had plenty of room. The pool table was very popular with the younger ones. Couldn't have wished for a better place to stay for a large group.

Amazing property split over two levels. Bedrooms and kitchens on both floors allowed our family to spread out, with an expansive deck and BBQ area. The place is very well furnished, with everything you could need for a weekend away or longer. Pool room with TV, dartboard and fridge was a great place to hang out with the kids. Plenty of toilets, showers and close to the local attractions. We would recommend this to any large family.
Had a wonderful time at the JJSC retreat. The house was spacious and as described. Ideal for a large group of friends or family.
There is a downstairs area which has its own kitchen which was ideal for food prepping a large meal. The upstairs area had the open plan kitchen/lounge amd dining room with outdoor eating area and bbq, all brilliant to hang out around.
Beds were comfy and the neighbourhood quiet.
Would definitely stay here again.

Thanks for your lovely review Mike. Really appreciate it and glad you all enjoyed it.
A fabulous weekend, in a home so well suited for 14 people of all ages. Although the weather was not the best, there was so much we could all do without even leaving this beautiful home.
Special thank you to Brett who could not have done more to ensure we were comfortable and not needing anything.
Looking forward to another family celebration at No 19.
The house was everything and more. The man cave with TV, pool table and darts board was great to enjoy, and the BBQ on the decking was perfect for a Saturday afternoon. The house was clean and had everything you could need - including some board games which we indulged in!
Brett was a super host - easily contactable and made us feel welcome.
Would definitely recommend and looking forward to booking again soon!

Thanks so much for your review Jackson, it’s really appreciated. Come stay again anytime 👍.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was in a quiet location which allowed for a relaxing and enjoyable break. The location was within walking distance to parks, shops and beach. There was a mixture of ages (three generations) and the house accommodated us so well. The grandchildren loved the games and backyard.
The outdoor shower with hot water was an added bonus.
Brett was very easy to contact with and returned messages within a short time. In short a beautiful home and location
There were 13 of us. Grandparents, plus 3 families including 2 teenage young ladies and 3 children 6 - 8.
The house had 6 double bedrooms, 4 toilets, 2 kitchens, a very large family area and a games room.
It was just as described. And Torquay and Jan Juc were great.
This property was very deceptive from the front as it did not appear large enough to accommodate 11 people and 2 dogs! However when we walked inside there was bedroom after bedroom, 2 kitchens, 2 washing machines, 3 bathrooms, a large indoor living area and a fabulous space outside as well. It was very clean and comfortable and within close walking distance to a playground and park to play cricket. The safe Torquay beach with shade on the sand was a short drive away. It was a fabulous weekend and I can recommend this place to large groups. Beth
The house is big with plenty of space & rooms for an extended family. We had grandparents with their 3 adult children, plus partners and kids staying at the house. Plenty of bathrooms, two kitchens & comfy beds. The area is quite suburban but the park was great. They were doing some work on the water pipes when we were there so there was heavy machinery and holes in the road, plus larges hoses across the driveway, which was a bit of a shame as it impacted the impression of our stay a little, but the house is great. It has everything you need. We brought games and toys but we didn't need to. There is heaps there. The most used room in the house was the pool room which is a fantastic asset for a big family on holiday together. Communication with the host Brett was FANTASTIC and he let us check in early which was so so appreciated. Thank you Brett!

Thanks for the lovely review Bianca. Yes we (owners & neighbours) only found out very recently that the local water authority were upgrading the water network pipes in our (plus adjacent) streets. Were informed of minimal disruption to our homes but agree is a bit unsightly so apologies for that. Essentially a case of a little pain for long term gain (we trust).
Thanks again for staying with us.
We had a family get away with 8 adults, 3 children under the age of 5 and a dog. There was plenty of room for all of us. The garage has been converted into a billard room and it got a lot of use. Downstairs there is a self contained unit which is lovely and a good place to go to if you need some me time. The house is only a very short drive to Torquay for retail therapy, the beach, food shopping and eatries. If you want to eat closer to the house there is the Jan Juc Village shops that has a coffee shop and a pub. It's a 2 minute drive or you could walk it and enjoy the fresh air, peaceful surrounds and look at some of lovely homes in the area. There is the peaceful JanJuc beach where my younger granddaughter had a great time. If you don't want to take the kids to beach there is a small park at the end of the street. As I headed towards the Jan Juc Village shops, I noticed there were a few little parks and a bigger park just before the Jan Juc caravan park. Definitely recommend this house for a large gathering. You'll find something to do even on a rainy day.

About the host
Hosted by Brett Dyer
We live in Melbourne, just 1½ hours from our much-loved Surf Coast holiday home. Happily married with two children in their 20's, we love spending time with family and friends, enjoying live music, catching a game at the MCG, entertaining at home or down the coast, and, of course, escaping on holidays whenever we can.
The Surf Coast has always been a special place for us, and we love sharing our home with guests so they can enjoy the relaxed coastal lifestyle as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
We’ve loved the Surf Coast for as long as we can remember and have spent much of our lives holidaying here. With its beautiful beaches, relaxed coastal lifestyle and easy access from Melbourne — just a little over an hour from the CBD — it’s the perfect place to escape, unwind and enjoy quality time with family and friends.
We’ve recently renovated our home with exactly that in mind. It’s spacious, comfortable and designed for families, couples sharing and entertaining, with plenty of room to relax both indoors and out.
Enjoy ocean views from the large, elevated deck, unwind in the billiard room with a game of pool or darts, or simply soak up the laid-back Jan Juc atmosphere. With the beach, village and coastal walks close by, there’s plenty to enjoy without needing to venture far.
It’s a home we genuinely love spending time in — and we’re delighted to share it with others looking for a great Surf Coast getaway.
And yes… your four-legged family members are welcome too!
