About this property
Gorgeous Newer Home on Mt. Desert Island, Minutes to Acadia
Recently finished home on wooded, residential road in Bass Harbor, on the quiet side of Mt. Desert Island (renovations completed spring 2012). Home has a great layout and comfortably accommodates a large family, two families, or several couples. The kitchen, appliances, bathrooms, fixtures, and many furnishings are brand new. A gas fireplace in the living room can take the chill off a Maine morning or evening. Bedrooms include a king-sized master with private bath, queen-sized bedroom, and a bunk room which sleeps 4. There is a front porch and large rear deck off the kitchen. The home is tastefully decorated and well-appointed. The owners have young children and are happy to accommodate yours. Pets negotiable.
Come visit all that Mt. Desert Island and Acadia National Park have to offer, while enjoying spacious, comfortable accommodations at this beautiful cottage in the woods.
The first level open floor plan includes a tiled entryway, half bath, kitchen with breakfast bar and seating for 4, dining room with seating for 10, den/family room, and living room with a gas fireplace. There are three bedrooms upstairs, including a master bedroom with king bed, walk-in closet, and private bath. The master bath features a double granite vanity, tile shower and separate soaking tub. Also upstairs you will find a queen-sized bedroom and a large bunk-room with two sets of bunk beds to sleep four. Downstairs, the living room can accommodate two additional guests. Options include a queen-sized sofabed and a twin-sized pull-out chair-and-a-half. The home can accommodate a maximum of 10 people, but more comfortably 8. Mattresses and bed linens are all new. There is another full-sized bathroom in the upstairs hallway. Both upstairs bathrooms feature tile floors with radiant heat. The home has hardwood floors throughout, and the first floor also has radiant heat (a benefit for chilly spring and fall visits). A portable crib, high chair, and other baby and child items are available upon request. Please contact owner with your special needs.
Owners also have a smaller rental property in Southwest Harbor. Please view listing #3766383 for more information about that property.
