We stayed one night in this home for a Girls Trip in Salt Lake to the Oddities and Curiosities Expo. The home was clean, cozy and comfortable. We would stay here again!
It was large enough for our group and very comfortable. We got in late and everyone had a place to sleep. We got up early and left. It would get a good place to hang out longer. The kitchen was roomy and stocked well with whatever needed to make a quick breakfast. There was nice hot water fur showers.
An off-street parking spot, leads to a private entrance. There is a shaded yard to relax in, an air conditioned treehouse for the kids to have some privacy; and the home is quiet, well-equipped and comfortable. The hosts were very responsive and pleasant as well. This was a great stay.
Everything this was great!! Only thing was bugs in the treehouse loft. But kinda to be expected.

Excellent home away from home!
My family of three stayed here and we loved it. They provided everything we needed and more than you could imagine. They thought of it all, from popcorn to DVDs. Very clean, kitchen was well equipped and the beds were very comfy. I can not think of anything they didn't have available. Great location too!! We loved and would recommend to all!!

Thanks for the great review. We loved meeting you. We are sorry we couldn't get the Jazz to pull off a win that week!!!!
This is a great property in a nice area! It is close in vicinity to many attractions and activities. We appreciated the “extras” included like cooking spices, ziplock bags, tinfoil, laundry detergent, etc. Our kids loved the tree house and beautiful yard to play in. The only thing that would have made the stay more comfortable is air conditioning in the basement unit. But overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!
Exceptional Stay – Perfect for Families! We had such a wonderful time staying at David and Margee’s property! From the moment we arrived, everything was clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully set up. You can tell they really care about their guests having a great experience. One of the highlights for us was the treehouse—the kids were absolutely obsessed! It was such a fun and magical touch that added so much joy to our stay. The trampoline was another big hit and gave the kids hours of entertainment. The adults appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and all the extras—from the barbecue grill for evening cookouts to the beautiful outdoor space where we could relax and make memories together.David and Margee were wonderful hosts—kind, communicative, and helpful throughout. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend this gem to any family looking for a clean, fun, and relaxing getaway!

This place felt like home
Our family kept referring to this apartment as home while we were on vacation in Salt Lake City because it was as convenient as being at home but with 1 bathroom. The beds were comfortable, the closets were spacious, the sofas were comfortable, and the kitchen was stocked. Not only did the kitchen have very handy supplies like flour, sugar, butter, spices, oil, coffee, and hot chocolate, but it had a large variety of nice pans, nice dishes, nice flat wear, nice knives, and many kitchen gadgets. They even had saran wrap and ziplock bags!! The kitchen had just about everything you'd have in your own kitchen.
Our family also enjoyed the variety of board games, TV channels, DVDs, and good books available for us to use/read along with the wifi. We chose this rental for these nice amenities, and will definitely return here if we visit Salt Lake City again. The owners also have put together a thorough list of surrounding stores, restaurants, activities, and attractions with recommendations for each category to make everything easy.

would book again, but there are some things i could do without. (rest of review and pics are below)
i’d give it an overall 6/10, could have been at least 5 if the place was a bit more clean like it said it’d be. on the surface level it looks clean but one of the room fans (living room) was slightly breaking from the ceiling, and there was a pretty big centipede that’s been dead for weeks behind the nightstand of the first bedroom (unknown exactly how long but it’s definitely been dead since before we arrived here, also saw a few silverfish and live centipedes), and the whole place smells stale. i’m guessing that is due to smoke remover spray, or maybe lack of maintenance.. but given that each bed and pillow smells like old dusty air, the shower curtains are yellowed on the bottom, and that most dishes were foggy, that is my guess. surface areas are generally clean, and there are utensils/dishes to cook with but they are not the best quality. they do also have a washer and dryer, as well as an iron, but when iron was used it smelled like burning dust. the auto lock on the door is also tricky, it will sometimes lock while on the way out, which makes it so we end up having to unlock again before exiting. there was also an issue with a flickering light/ possible power issue, in the first bedroom across from the bathroom; it flicked on and off 5 separate times within a span of a few hours then continued to do so for the entirety of our stay.the treehouse window looked and smelled like the window had just been sitting open for a while, it also has a step on the inside where…
The kitchen was fine, we didn’t cook there so didn’t have many needs but the coffee machine was great. We didn’t use the laundry facilities but they were available.

Clean and Comfortable and close to the City.
This property fulfilled all of our needs when we wanted to stay close to Salt Lake for a late event. The place was in good repair and clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable there. We had quiet a large group but we all had enough room to sleep just fine!

Lovely neighborhood
Well appointed basement apartment. Very clean and comfortable furnishings. Linens and towels were very nice. Great for a family or two couples. Plenty of room. The apartment does not have a/c so was a little too warm for us.

About the host
Hosted by Margaret Connolly
My husband Dave and I love the outdoors, adventure, and escaping off the beaten path. Wide open spaces are our thing. We have used VRBO on many of our recent vacations. Our favorite trips have been to a Lake House in Idaho, quiet beaches of the Mayan Rivieria, Lake Powell house boating, Newport Beach, and the Road to Hana on the island of Maui. Most of all, we love all the place where we live. Three majestic canyons right out our door. We spend our free time mountain biking, waterskiing, snow skiing, and hiking with our 4 kids. Come play in Utah!
I have lived in Utah for 40 years and have great recommendations on places to go, things to do, and especially know some great places to eat. If you are coming to Utah to ski I can tell you the character of each ski resort and help you plan the perfect trip.
What makes this property unique
We fell in love with our home the first time we saw it. The builder bought an old farmhouse on this property with the hopes to restore it. The foundation was crumbling so he was forced to tear it down. He decided to replicate the farmhouse's character when he designed the home. He was building it for his own family so he put extra care into the details.
