We enjoyed staying for the labour day long weekend at this property. The landscape is simply fantastic and most importantly the property manager is very accommodating and pleasant to deal with
Our family of 5 people and 2 dogs checked in for our vacation and had an amazing time. The cabin was clean as stated and everything we could need for camping was provided. We explored the area a bit as well and it was lovely.
Only small downfall is the lake is very shallow. Great for small children and dogs but not so great for adults/bigher kids wanting to swim. However there is a small park with beach access/floating docks near by and it was lovely to swim there.
The cottage was wonderful. We were more than impressed with all of the amenities. We were very happy to find almost every addition were there that we would normally have to bring ourselves , like ice fire wood life jackets games bedding towels 4 watercraft and much more. The only suggestion would have been to prepare customers of the grade of the property to the lake as steep. If stairs were provided it would have been better for people with mobility issues. .
suc as ice,
This was our second year staying at this cottage and it was once again fantastic. I'm already looking forward to next summer. If I could recommend anything to someone looking to rent here, bring some kind of water shoes for the lake. It's gorgeous, warm, and clean with a soft bottom, but clams/mussels can be sharp and hard to avoid.
Rachel and Alex were lovely to deal with and they keep their place so well appointed that it hardly mattered that I forgot to pack any number of things. We had great weather, but being sandwiched between Minden and Halliburton means there are plenty of options for cloudy days.
10/10 recommend
I was really impressed with the cottage….every thing you could think of as essential was in the cottage waiting for you. Right down to dog bowls and a dog lead. The cottage was very clean, cozy and well laid out. My husband, stepchildren (17 and 13) and our two dogs had a fantastic week. The sandy beach was great for the dogs to walk out in the water and for my stepson to just treasure hunt along the sandy bottom. Had 3 ducks visit us every day, to the delight of the dogs. Lake is pretty quiet as well as were the neighbours. Beautiful nights for campfires and stargazing. The list goes on. Owner was quick to respond with answers to our questions prior to booking and with arrival day instructions. I would recommend this cottage for families young and old.
It's hard to say enough about how beautiful this spot was. Everyone had a wonderful time and I cannot wait to return. The lake was warm and clean, the property was well maintained and suitable even for my 79 year old father. The cottage was cozy, functional and inviting. Everyone worries about the Wi-Fi these days--zero issues here. We streamed the Hungarian Grand Prix and a dozen movies on Netflix without a glitch. We saw birds and turtles and fish and stars and loved every minute. On top of all of that, Rachel was amazing to deal with and made us all feel totally at home. 10/10 would recommend.

Disappointed and disgusted
We booked this cottage from August 20 to 27. We left on August 22.
Between the fridge, the microwave, the shower, the garbage can is filthy, the smoke detector not hooked up which by law is a requirement, the mustiness of the cottage due to the carpets, the lack of space for our food; our dry goods are stored in our cooler to the general overall feeling of the cottage not being clean was enough for us to leave.
I have numerous pictures.
I contacted Rachel on our first day reharding the cleanliness of the fridge. Rachel responded right away. I was not going to put our food in a dirty fridge so I cleaned all but the crisper drawers and the bottom of the fridge. This was this first of many instances of the cottage not being clean.
We left. We were refunded the entire cleaning fee.
I understand you are responding to all our concerns, but we are not comfortable here.
Property was nice and clean. Even though the weather wasnt great, we had tons to do. Rachel was always available and checked in if we were okay. I would definitely recommend this cottage !
This cottage has been in our family for two generations and will be in our family for many more. It is our oasis and we know you will love it as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
This is a well cared for family cottage that is a great place to enjoy the beautiful area. It's a cozy little piece of paradise that you won't want to leave.
What makes this property unique
Quiet area with respectful neighbours (we ask you show respect right back). Beautiful waterfont lot with lots of space to enjoy the yard and a kayak, paddleboat, metal fishing boat to help enjoy the water. We also have water toys and lifejackets at the house that you can bring down and enjoy in the sun. The house inside is a cozy setting with a wood stove and a full kitchen/dining area where you can enjoy home-cooked meals. The living room is a great, cozy place with a couch and loveseat to binge watch your favorite show at night.
