About this property
Modern spacious country home with fig trees & valley views - central Byron Shire
Picture yourself lazing in an enormous bath tub looking at a 300 year old fig tree. The birds are chirping and the wallaby wanders by as the sun sets across Myocum valley. The peace is only broken by the sounds of nature. Your own herb garden flourishes next to the spectacular fire pit area. A clean modern functional kitchen and room for everyone to have space to watch a movie, wander through the hoop pine forest or take a short drive down to the best beaches in the world.

About the host
Your host
A global traveller and local to the Byron shire since 1999 - hosting holiday experiences and properties since 2012. Friendly and happy to help you enjoy the very best of the beaches, restaurants and most of all enjoy a homely comfortable relaxing stay in Myocum. I have an interest in personal development and study from my home office here, in between seeing my enormous family in New Zealand and sneaking off on romance trips myself. Very available with a beautiful local team of five star service providers - I have been a super host for over ten years and post-covid am super thrilled to be inviting you all back into the region. I live on site at the adjacent house and your experience can be contact-less or we can connect for a local download on what who where why and when...
Why they chose this property
My partner Ed built this house during the lockdown of covid 2020-2021. He planted the native gardens and has established a strong population of birds and wallabies with hid commitment to our no-dog policy and a passion for nature. This is the ultimate indoor outdoor living with a fire pit easy to cook on and the secret of a great holiday - enormous bath tubs with lavender oil and epsom salts... This has been our home as well so it is stocked up and easy to manage. The sizeable rooms and comfort areas can easily cater for 4-6 people without a squash. Fully air-conditioned with block out curtains on the corner rooms plus a stunning fireplace for a cold night in.
What makes this property unique
The breeze sweeps through the house due and there is always a cool shady position to place yourself - to enjoy some reading or to simply gaze at nature from a 4.5m high roofline. The proximity to Mullum, Bangalow, Brunswick and Byron is central which makes it easy to really choose the best experience you want. The expansive lawns and beautiful flowering trees offer a contemplative atmosphere whilst being right in the heart of the action for beaches, parties, pleasure and peace. The bath tubs are huge, the amenities are modern. Just come on over for a holiday at the Old Bales :)
