This cabin was wonderful! So exquisitely and uniquely decorated and extremely clean! We enjoyed the cozy fireplace and fabulous porch! Absolutely beautiful surroundings inside and out! We highly recommend this rental and hope to come back again soon!
This cabin was amazing everything was as advertised. It was beautiful outside and inside. Would recommend to anyone. It was private quiet and just perfect for our weekend getaway
The view was absolutely amazing the cabin was stunning and I can't wait to go back and visit again! Robert is an amazing host and I want to say thank you for opening your home to us!
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It was very secluded and quiet, which is what we were looking for. Firewood was ready for us when we arrived. It was a nice place to get away from everything. The power went out due to the weather we had during our stay. I contacted the maintenance man who handled the situation while we were away for the day with no issues.

Power was out for a few hours from a storm, happy you enjoyed your stay!
We had a great trip! The cabin was beautiful, clean and well-equipped. It's truly secluded, which is exactly what we were looking for. We spent most of our time sitting on the back porch, enjoying the view and the birds. It rained for a few days, but we were actually happy about it because it gave us an excuse to just hang out at the cabin. Bed was comfy, too! Looking forward to another visit!Detailed directions to the property were provided before check-in, which were really helpful. City-dwellers - read them carefully and you won't get lost :)
We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful cabin in a very secluded private wooded setting. Plenty to do in the area but a great place to do nothing. We will be back
This is the 3rd time we have stayed here, and we have turned it into an annual trip! We love the seclusion, the beautiful cabin, easy river access, what's not to love? We've told several friends about it, and they booked their own trips and loved it too!
This cabin is a little piece of heaven on earth. We stayed here this weekend for our anniversary. The cabin was immaculate and had every single thing we needed. The hotntub was amazing and the fact that it was on a screened in porch was perfect. When we had trouble signing in to the wifi, they were quick to respond to my texts and helped me resolve the issue quickly. I highly recommend the Valkyrie and we will definitely stay here every chance we get.
This cabin was even more beautiful in person than the pictures could ever capture! We absolutely loved our stay.We got a little turned around on the way there, and since it was already dark, our feathers were a little ruffled by the time we arrived. But the moment we pulled up, all of that melted away. The beautiful rustic cabin, with its warm, inviting lights, immediately made us feel better. Getting inside was effortless, and as soon as we opened the door, we were welcomed by the most wonderful atmosphere. The beautiful wood throughout, the fresh, clean smell, peaceful music playing, and soft lighting already set up for us made it feel like we had walked into our own little peaceful retreat. It was such a thoughtful and welcoming touch, and honestly, the best feeling after a drive! We enjoyed the hot tub every evening and even snuck in a few morning soaks when the weather was chilly. We also loved exploring the surrounding property with our dogs, especially the river and rocks down below. Our older dog seemed to find his own little happy place on the porch, where he spent much of his time lounging and taking in the beautiful view.Everything about this place made for a relaxing, memorable getaway. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into making guests feel welcome and comfortable. We would happily return and highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful escape.10 out of 10! We loved every minute of it!
We came from south Mississippi wanting to be in a secluded cabin and see the leaf color. Now I am not a rustic girl so I had standards This cabin met everything we wanted. The driveway in let us know this was going to be just what we were looking for. The colors were spectacular (we road into Mentone and all around none were better than right here at Valkyrie). The house was so comfy and cozy, we even built a fire with the supplied wood. You do need to bring starter logs, which we did. The hot tub was perfect. The bed so comfy. Now if you are coming to fish or swim you better be in good shape. The trail down to the river (which can not be seen hardly at all from the cabin) is very difficult. My husband is 70 and very strong and in good shape. It about killed him. He said it was beautiful but not worth that climb. The only suggestion I would make is to have a dimmer on the kitchen lights. They are great for cooking but at night when watching tv very bright but when off not enough to see around to get a snack or make coffee in the morning. The host was great and we will be back again. Rustic elegance at its best.
Great weather , beautiful location , comfortable beds , plenty of wood ,if you want or if it’s cold enough for a fire , long doggie walks & quiet nights ! All of this & more !!!
