The property was great for my family and I. It was clean and the updates the owners made were evident- a very comfortable way to enjoy Ascutney or Okemo. Will 100% try to book again.

Thank you for the nice review, Christian. Glad you enjoyed your stay at far cry lodge and the skiing at okemo. Try Sunapee mountain when you return, it is my favorite and a shorter drive. Best.
Super clean, super organized, very comfortable. Everything you need (except conditioner! Haha. I brought my own luckily). Wonderful 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. We would definitely stay here again!

From the owner: "Thank you for the nice review, Gary. Appreciate you taking such good care of the place. Glad you enjoyed the biking and the corn-hole, too."
The property was perfect our group of 5 adults who needed 4 bedrooms. The house was well appointed with upscale bathrooms and furnishings. We would recommend it to anyone. Thanks for making it available
This newly renovated property had everything we needed to make our stay relaxing and comfortable. I usually don’t like booking a place without reviews but I’m glad I gave this a chance. We were in town for a family wedding and this was about 15 mins from everywhere we needed to be and also close to downtown Windsor, which is a cute little town. If you are considering this property, just do it, you won’t regret! Property manager was also very responsive and easy to communicate with.

Ascutney MTB weekend
Where to start? The accommodations were pretty great, and just 100 yards from an access trail. The cabin (house) had just about everything and was recently remodeled/in pristine condition. We even had a gracious neighbor that kept us informed of local events. We also met a couple of the landowners that host some of the trails ..VERY nice people!
..just GO! Highly recommend this property, and the whole area.

From the owner: "Thank you, Gary. Glad your group had an enjoyable biking weekend. Appreciate your kind review comments. Look forward to you returning."
This house was just as described and a great, east getaway from the Boston area! The bedrooms and living room are comfortable and relaxing. The kitchen is well-equipped with the basics and new appliances. The heating system works well and the house feels cozy. Everything is updated, organized, and easy to use. We didn’t get to use Mount Ascutney because a surprise warm up melted the snow but the house is just a few minute drive away. Instead, we went tubing at Okemo (35 mins away) and spent a nice evening in Woodstock (30 mins away). All three generations - two tweens, two parents, and grandma - and our dog had a great time!

Mt. Ascutney Stay
Far Cry Lodge was ideal for our extended family trip of 4 adults and 2 kids. The kids were able to hook up their xbox in the downstairs den, and the adults had the great room upstairs for cooking, watching TV and listening to music on the turntable. We particularly loved the LED fireplace upstairs. Very relaxing. The house has every kind of game imaginable, and the kitchen was complete. Appliances are new and the place was spotless on our arrival. Ann, the property manager, did a great job of communicating with us and we are so grateful for her help. The owners have put a ton of thought into guest comfort for this house; there are sleep sound machines in the two large bedrooms, night lights everywhere, great linens and towels, nice quality soaps and shampoos in the dispensers. Really a first-rate experience.
They have a QR code system where you can shop items that are in the house. We had only ever seen something like this in high end hotels. They had an LED umbrella for our use at the picnic table, a really secluded fire pit in the back yard with Adirondack chairs for relaxing and a small grill out on the balcony. I also appreciated the high end blender for making my smoothies. We enjoyed hiking the Ascutney Outdoors trail system and spending time at the Brownsville Butcher and Pantry in town.
We will absolutely be back.
