Enjoy the traditional moist path of light and path of wind in the street garden that leads from the entrance to the courtyard

For our stay in Kyoto, we had hoped to experience living in a traditional Japanese-style home with tatami mats and sliding doors. This hope was exactly what we envisioned and so much more! The home had the perfect combination of old-world charm with just enough modern comforts. The beds were absolutely heavenly — like sleeping on clouds!
Bonus: The lovely old couple that hosted us were so sweet! They would write us little notes and bring us traditional Japanese desserts every day!
We can’t wait to come back again!
