Please see Airbnb for plenty of 5 star reviews. Thank you for renting the train as this really helps me. The train runs on solar power, all your water is spring water and is a great example of up cycling and recycling. The tiny house train is located on a 10 acre/4.2 hectare organic blueberry farm and was restored in 2018 and turned into a tiny house in May 2019. There is a cozy log burner plus heat pumps and the TV is a smart TV and has Netflix supplied . Wifi is Starlink with laptop friendly kitchen table. Self checkin after 2pm. No light pollution and beautiful star filled skies for miles. Please note that the sofa bed is optional and it will need to be added as an extra charge of twenty five dollars per night for two single guests and sixty dollars for a third guest. Please let me know if you would like to book the sofa bed via the messaging system of this platform.

We loved our stay in the Train, it was quiet and secluded and we lit a fire in the brazier whilst we enjoyed the location and stars. Loved the little touches of fresh milk, organic blueberry jam from the orchard and honey the cat was delightful! Carolann is an excellent host and brilliant communicator
My dog and I had a lovely stay. The owners two dogs came to visit which was lovely. Great place for them to have a wander about. Weather wasn’t kind to us but staying in the railway carriage fabulous. Warm and had everything we needed plus Netflix so treated it as a retreat and rest day. Fabulous place!! Thank you !!!
Owner was excellent. No hot water to shower made stay less enjoyable.

Hi Steve l feel that your review was very unfair as l said to you that if there was anything you needed to just message me as l am only next door. You didn’t. All that was required was for the gas bottle to be switched over. Carolann
We had the loveliest time in the train. The place is set up perfectly if you've got a cat or dog, no places they could wiggle out and cause trouble. Kitchen set up well for cooking and well-equipped. Generous options for heating, which was good as it was unseasonably chilly outdoors for most of our stay. The farm itself is lovely and green, with wildflowers and bees and lovely chooks. The eggs, butter, toast, and condiments provided were such a sweet unexpected touch! Picking blueberries at the end of the season was fun and we enjoyed them for a whole month afterwards.Everything was just as showcased in the photos. We'll definitely be back if we get the chance as it was a tranquil break away from town in a serene, gorgeous location. Hope to enjoy it during some actual summer weather someday!
We loved this visit. Enjoyed the eco-friendly aspects, plus homemade jams, honey, and eggs from the property. Able to see a lot of stars at night (since I'm from the other side of the world I can't tell you which stars).A little more advice on starting/using the stove/oven would be appreciated since we were unfamiliar, but we made it work eventually!Lovely property as well, and enjoyed reading about the history of the tiny house train.
It was cool to stay in a train and somewhere new. It was fun seeing how it was converted and my train loving partner loved it. Super cosy and relaxing with delicious eggs. Thanks for being a great host!
Gorgeous little carriage in a beautiful setting. All fixtures and fittings very high quality, so closer to a luxury stay than the size would suggest. Fred and Wilma made sure we were well settled in and provided great company for our pooch. Home made jams and honey just added to the treat.Carolann is a great host, there when needed.. Thank you, would love to return for another stay.
Loved it, Just me and my 8 year old boy and 2 border collies. Something a bit different, but really well done. Would definitely stay again. Wood fire worked really well
We enjoyed staying at the train, comfy bed, lovely hot shower, clean.
It would of been nice to meet the host at some stage of arival after all we had to be approved by photo. This teaches our children manners and how we should face people face to face

Thanks for your review Kerry and I am glad that you enjoyed your stay in the train. Just to let you know that my 95yr old mother broke her femur on the Friday which had me very preoccupied, also it does state in the listing that I give guests their privacy which is not a display of bad manners.Cheers Carolann

Lovely stay as we enjoy the peace and quiet. Carollan was very friendly and helpful especially dealing with the compost toilet issue. Downside, I am small and the toilet was too high for me. The log fire was a bonus as it does get cold at night. The bed was very comfy. 9/10.
Thoroughly enjoyed a little weekend getaway. The train was quite cold during the winter months. However, it didn't take long to warm up with the little pot belly fireplace.
The organic range of food that was left for us to indulge in was such a lovely little touch as well. We would definitely consider returning in the warmer months.
Peaceful and quiet.. which we so much appreciated.
Had an interest in the history of how the train conversion began, to its present day. Just wow! A lot of work has been done.
Our pets loved it here with Fred & Wilma the 2 pet hosts.
Our host was very respectful & friendly.
Great stay thank you. Lots of nice little touches like breakfast supplies, forest park maps, lots of towels and nice shower products. Quiet peaceful setting, lots of thought put into waste management, and we had a visit from a friendly kitten. I've told my family they should come stay too

About the host
Hosted by Carolann
Hi I am from the Wellington area and had always wanted to turn the train into a b and b after many years and finally managed to do it in 2018. It has been a total delight to host as everyone just loves it. I have been on the property since 1995 and still love it. Being set back from the road ensures privacy.
Why they chose this property
No light pollution here at night and only the sounds of night birds and beautiful moon and stars to look at. Whitemans Valley is a rural area mainly populated by lifestyle blocks but only an 8 minutes drive to Silverstrean Village which has a lot of takeaway places, supermarket, pub, great bakery and several restaurants. Brewtown craft brewery and farmers market is only an 18 min drive and Wellington CBD 35 min drive.
What makes this property unique
The train has a personality of it's own and everyone who stays here just loves it as I do too. You'll see what I mean when you get here. The log burnining fire just adds to the coziness of it while keeping the modern comforts of a smart TV, airfryer, microwave etc. Blueberry Fields Forever is a very popular organically certified pyo blueberry farm.
