About this property
The Gully Dreamy Cabin on Acres of Outback Charm
Slow down and escape to The Gully, one of the remarkably crafted cabins nestled on 33 acres of lush, picturesque bushland where you can disconnect from the hustle and bustle. Bathe yourself in the beauty of the starry night in the outdoor bathtub, or cosy up by the fire pit and barbeque area. Enjoy a romantic retreat and serenity whilst being a short 10-minute drive from Mudgee, a town celebrated for its award-winning vineyards, fine dining and outdoor adventures.
Every nook of this whimsical, wooden cabin is bursting with character and an effortless combination of antique and modern decor. Guests are surrounded by acres of vast outlooks from every window, which are particularly spectacular at sunset. Unwind by the fireplace whilst retaining creature comforts such as central air-conditioning for the warmer months. The charming three-seater dining table is perfect for meals inside, or perhaps enjoy the outdoor dining setting under the open sky. Guests will have everything needed to cook, as the kitchen is fully stocked with a stove, cutlery, crockery and a Nespresso machine.
Prepare for a digital detox, as while there is Wi-Fi, it cannot be used for streaming or downloading as it will slow speed dramatically. There is no TV but stretch out on the oversized couch and browse the selection of good reads. Find rest in the dreamy queen size bedroom with direct access to the front veranda. Ample clothes storage, an iron and hangers make it easy to settle in for short or long term stays. Relax in the large shower recess or soak in the outdoor tub amongst the sounds of nature.
Travelling to and from The Gully is easy with a driveway for parking and quick access to main roads. Phone reception can be limited with some providers so we have guests sorted with free Wifi, although we encourage you to switch off and get back to basics.
Fancy a local treat or preparing for a Friday night arrival? We offer grazing boxes and breakfast hampers exclusively made for our guests and placed in the fridge before your arrival. Check out these paid add-ons on the Bliss Stays website and just let us know at the time of booking if you’re interested.
Please note that some construction is happening about 500m away. It typically starts around 7:30 AM on weekdays. This should not significantly affect your stay, aside from some minor noise.
During your stay, you and your group will have the entire cabin to yourself. Please make yourself at home!
Enjoy the feeling of being tucked away from civilization or have the best of both worlds by hopping over to neighbouring tourist destinations which are bursting with activities. Small Batch Brewery is a mere two minute drive from your door and is also a hub for purchasing home brewing kits. Mudgee boasts some of Australia's oldest vineyards and award winning labels. A visit to Robert Stein is a must, the family run business can trace their craft back to 1838 and established the local vineyard in 1976. Stay onsite to enjoy fine dining at The Pipeclay Pumphouse, where the kitchen embraces a paddock-to-plate philosophy. Most menu items are locally grown and sourced from nearby farms. See the picturesque mountain ranges and valleys by hiking, kayaking, bike riding or even by hot air balloon or helicopter.
Due to local regulations, we can happily host you for up to 90 nights. Any bookings that exceed this duration will be cancelled by Vrbo.
We are pet-friendly - please add the number of pets you're travelling with and let us know about your furry friend at the time of booking. We’ll reach out to charge a standard pet fee of $50.
EV charging is strictly prohibited at this property due to circuit disruptions caused by such usage. If it is found that EV charging has taken place, a fee of $100 per day may be charged to cover associated costs and potential damages. Please contact us for EV charging locations in Mudgee.
