What a beautiful place. Comfortable, spacious and quiet. Close to restaurants and the local haunt, Coles. A short walk to Point Ruston. I loved the retro 1940s style. The host answered all of my questions and was very accommodating. Whenever I make it back to Ruston, I'll be sure to book this place again.
We loved our stay at this adorable retro-style home! Everything was spotless and so thoughtfully set up, from the cozy living area to the fully equipped kitchen that had everything we needed for cooking. The location was perfect; we could easily walk to restaurants, shops, and the waterfront. The host was responsive, friendly, and made check-in super easy. It’s a great spot for small families or couples. Comfortable, quiet, and full of charm. We’d definitely stay here again!
This was a fabulous day in a beautiful property. Enjoyed the location, and the restaurants and bakery in the area were fabulous. The accommodations provided everything we needed and the home was clean and comfortable.
We chose to stay here because of the proximity to Pt Defiance Park.. The location is great. We enjoyed the house's lovely vintage deco interior - it's even more beautiful than the photos - but we most appreciated how comfortable, spacious, functional, and clean the house is. It really worked so nicely for our family of 4.
Stayed for a long weekend with my family. Wonderful location, extremely clean. Would definitely recommend to others interested in staying in this area!
Place is charming, spotless, close to a bunch of great attractions and places to dine. If I could give it 6 stars, I would! We’ve stayed twice and hope to stay again!
This is an amazing property!! Wish we had more time just to stay and lounge, the interior is that fabulous! If you love the 1940 time period, this is your place. The decor is so cute, location is amazing and owners very nice and friendly. We will definitely stay here again!
My son and I had a stay of a few days as we were visiting my daughter at college. The location of the house is fantastic, within easy walking distance of Point Defiance park and a lot of waterside walking. The house itself was cozy and charming, and very welcoming after a long day of touring.
House was very clean. Perfect location, close to everything. Friendly owners. Highly recommend.

Adorable, great communication and comfy
Stayed here for conference at Silver Cloud (?) hote on the water. easy walk to waterside park and stores (uphill on the way back) Loved the thought and curation that went into decor - incredibly cute and kitschy - but still comfy! Loved it - highly recommend!
Well stocked and such fun decorating! The location behind a building in an alley was a little odd, but it was quiet and so close to all the things we wanted to do for fun family weekend. Thank you!
We loved the location of this house, walking distance to the zoo and Ruston Boardwalk! Also we were able to bike to Point Defiance from the house. The house is well stocked and very clean! Beds were super comfortable! We all slept well, including our little girls. What more could a parent want on vacation!

Time Traveler's Dream
An amazing house. As soon as you open the door it brings you into the 1940's era, yet all the furniture and amenities are comfortable and modern. The house was located in a nice and quiet neighberhood as well, just 1 minute walk away from a great breakfast spot. Overall, an A+ experience...
A friend and I stayed here for a long weekend. The property was exquisitely renovated and maintained, well located only a short walk from Port Defiance park, and exactly what we needed. Parking was conveniently located right next to the cottage. The location was quiet. The owner was responsive to the few minor questions we had while also respecting our privacy. I would definitely consider staying here again!
Was a nice house, fun decorating. Very clean. Stayed to visit Grandpa and see the zoo. Loved the stove!! Only thing was no dishwasher soap or garbage bags. Thank you for a great place!
You do have to really appreciate the theme of the 40s. Its an incredible replica of the time yet an extremely comfortable, clean and well thought out cottage. All the details and antiques of the time period.

Seeing our Soldier
What a wonderful little house! So clean and well kept. It felt like staying at my grandmothers house. It was a surprise house for our soon to be daughter in law and our son who is in the army. We all had a great stay. We will be back! Thank you!

The inside of the property has been remodeled in an authentic 1940's theme. Every detail is well done and beautiful. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms made everything convenient. I do recommend this home. My only downside to this property is one of the toilets is very low, poor quality toilet paper and no tissues. Although we didn't do any cooking, there was plenty of flatware, plates, mugs, and pans there to prepare a meal. There is a fabulous bakery next door. Also, the property has four televisions.
This place is a GEM. Mom lives at Franke Tobey Jones, and this place was ideal for proximity. The house itself is simply charming! I've never stayed at a place that was even better than the pictures. The hosts are warm, friendly, and available. The building on the street side of N. Pearl is great: features a gluten-free bakery (with yummy items), with cozy spots for relaxing out of the house. There is a great bar just down the alley, and a really nice Italian restaurant as well. The Guest Book is a great resource. Check out is a cinch. Two tiny wishes: more coasters and a way to buy the cookbook that the hosts published. (Oh, and maybe an upgrade to the TP.) This property is better suited to adults and older children, I think. This will be our Go To spot in Tacoma!
