The balcony overlooking the harbour was a highlight of watching the boats and ships go by. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and cookware, everything one would need and more. Each bedroom had its own bathroom which was perfect for 5 of us! Really enjoyed our stay.
Lovely harbour front location. Only difficulty was the beds were uncomfortable for two average sized adults. The host advertised double bed in each room so we were aware of this when we booked.
Absolutely amazing. Had everything we needed. Decorating tastefully. Immaculate. Tons of space. Peaceful location - not walkable to downtown but not a problem if you have a car. Taxi prices reasonable if you don't want to deal with downtown parking.
Cottage was very nice place to stay. Lots of ships in and out of the harbour. The only thing that would have made our stay better would have been air conditioning it got pretty hot at times.
Very charming house. Great location on the harbour-close one of the East Coast trail heads. Views of Signal Hill and all the ships going and coming through the narrows - including the cruise ships. Well appointed kitchen- there were four of us- lots of room in main living are. It was clean and comfortable. Host owner was in communication at the start and throughout. Only about 5-10 minute drive to George /Water Streets. We had a great time exploring St. John’s- lots of good memories. Thanks
This was our second stay at this amazing vacation rental. We love watching the ships in the harbour. The house is very well stocked and spotless.Vic was a perfect host!
The property was just immaculate clean, well stocked and in quiet area with views of harbour and Signal hillCk.in and our was easy. Full modern kitchen. Great communication. A minor issue with recliner and Vic came and fixed immediately when we were out.Defintely will recommend to anyone who needs a full house.
Although located on the south side of the harbour, the views of Signal Hill and the boat traffic make it worth the short drive to get to downtown St. John’s. The house has been beautifully renovated and is very well equipped and comfortable.
Parking is a bit tricky but we had room for motorcycles and 3 small trailers after some juggling . The house and location are actually fantastic once we realized where we were , unique location for sure. It’s a bit of a walk to downtown ( about an hour ) once you discover the walking path under the bridge. Bbq and full house of utensils were awesome. Need a bbq brush though. Watching the fishermen bringing in the catches was a great bonus. The place is right on the wharf.
Location was exemplary. Could see the ships coming into the harbour. Location was convenient to downtown yet out of the way. Property was just fantastic.
Very clean well appointed propert. The owners have thought about what guests need and provided it.
Unique view of St John's harbour makes it a special place to stay. Best if you have a car or bike, as a bit far if you want to walk into town.
Would love to stay again.
Beautiful spot to stay. Quiet. Stunning views of the harbour, the Battery and Signal Hill. Morning coffee on the deck watching the boats come and go. Close to everything. Evening walk to the lighthouse then back to the deck to watch the folks at the splitting tables with their daily catch. 😊
This was such a charming spot in such a unique location. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and when we ran into some issues, the owners were extremely friendly and quick to rectify the problem. The basement floor is a little damp, but it's to be expected since the house is literally located on the harbour front across from signal hill. The view of cabot tower and the harbour made up for this small discomfort. Would stay here again.
This gem is a must if traveling to St. Johns. The hosts were very responsive and kind. The house was perfect for our 6 adults with 3 rooms and 3 bathrooms.
It was only a 10 minute cab ride downtown and not expensive.
The view of Signal Hill, the colorful homes across the water and the bustle of the harbour made this home perfect when just relaxing on the deck.
5 star experience!
The location on the harbour is beautiful, while we were there it was pretty busy with construction but that didn’t take away from the view. All the amenities were perfect, having a bathroom for each room was perfect. The only drawback I would say out of everything would be it is a bit of a hike if you are wanting to walk to downtown. It would have been perfect if there was some kind of pedestrian crossing somewhere, but that is out of the owners control. We still had an amazing trip, owners were very quick to respond to any questions and provided an accurate account of things to do as all of the suggestions of theirs we tried were wonderful. Thanks for a beautiful experience.
Vic’s property is exceptional! There is a recreational boat harbour in front of his place in which you can walk along the pier. We were able to watch some fishermen prepare the cod and watch big ships and small fishing boats off the porch! The inside of the house is amazing as well!
