BIRCH HAVEN

Forget you worries at BIRCH HAVEN in this spacious and serene place of three acres. Enjoy the property, old fashion atmosphere and your own fire pit for relaxing evenings. With almost 90% of all types of minerals found on earth located in the Bancroft area, this is a major destination for recreational rock hounding enthusiasts. It is known as the "Mineral Capital of Canada". We are also only 45 minutes outside of Algonquin Provincial Park. There are many recreational lakes, beaches and boat launches close by. Multitude of ATV and Snowmobile trails only mins away from the driveway. Leave right from the driveway. The rental unit has it's own parking spot and space for trailers, boats and off road vehicles. There is a well lit path to our rental unit that sleeps 6 with a Master bedroom containing a queen bed, second bedroom with twin beds and pull out couch in the living room. All bedding, pillows and towels provided. Full kitchen with stove, microwave, coffee percolator, kettle, toaster and full fridge for your use. All dishes, cookware provided. Free WIFI with flat screen TV and designated work space. Many brochures available for nearby destinations as well as a library of books for your perusal. Bathroom has shower with shower bench and grab handles. Unit is non-smoking. Carbon monoxide/smoke alarm, fire extinguisher and first aid kit available. We have a high chair and playpen for the wee ones. Your party will have this entire rental to yourselves. Feel free to ask us any questions as we would love to help you have a great vacation.

The property was great! It was large enough for a family of 4, it was only 15 minutes from Bancroft, 10 minutes from a fantastic beach and Deb was very attentive to our needs.

Property was very clean and the host was very thoughtful when stocking the rental with a full kitchen, books, games, and movies. There are some needed renovations that are scheduled for this fall, but everything is usable as is.

The location is easy to find, the owner even we didnt meet she sent messages to make sure were comfortable and happy with our stay. Its a family friendly equipped with high chair if you have small kids , bedroom beds comfy, plus books and games to play, washroom is clean theres a handle bar and chair if your with a senior, just bring your food to cook. Its a home away from home. Highly recommend. We be back as long the elderly i look after health is good to visit his old time friend.

Weekend get away

Lovely weekend close to Bancroft. Enjoyed hiking and kayaking in the close by lakes and river. Clean, comfortable apatment with all the amenities of home.

We had a family getaway at Birch Haven and it was a lovely experience. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook our food. The rooms were well furnished. The outdoor firepit was very nice, just bring your own firewood. We didn't know that but it was easy to buy some firewood from owners on-site as they live in the upper section of the house. Deb was highly responsive and kept us posted on all updates. Overall a very nice stay.

Weekend in Bancroft

Beautiful property with lots of trees and fresh air. Beds were comfortable and lots of indoor space to relax. Clean and well kept property. Lots to do and see in the area. Would definitely recommend for an escape from the city.

Staying at Birch Haven

The property is set back away from the road and opens up to reveal the place you will be staying. It is quiet and serene. A short drive to Papineau beach or Bancroft to get supplies. Debora is a wonderful host who is sure to make your stay comfortable and has a number of resources to help you find the activities to take part in around Bancroft. The place is very nice, clean and quiet. Would definitely recommend.
