About this property

Self-contained 3-room Cottage right on the Mahurangi Waterfront.

Our cottage is right on the Bay waterfront and offers an excellent place to relax in peaceful surroundings or Kayak or bring your own boat for an activity-filled day.
A very safe swimming beach just a 30-second walk away, brilliant at high tide but still good swimming for 2 or 3 hours either side of high tide.
The cottage has a nice double bedroom looking out over the lawn to the harbour. A Portacot with linen and a Baby Bath is available on request.
The second room has a kitchenette, Dining Table, and Lounge seating in front of the TV. The kitchenette has essentials like salt, pepper, sauce, mayo, sugar, tea, and plunger coffee. Plus there is a single bed against the back wall of the lounge area.
The third room has a Toilet, Hand Basin & shower.
Will sleep 2 adults, 1 child + a baby but would be crowded.
There is a BBQ on the deck.

What a fabulous weekend. Amazing spot, everyone is so friendly and love the cottage. Just what we expected. Would definently come back and stay again!!! Had issues with our pickup and owners of the cottage kindly drove us to the wedding event up the road. Thank you for an amazing weekend!!!

We enjoy sharing our cottage in this special bay giving others the chance to see what West Mahurangi has to offer and there is a lot on offer

Why they chose this property

Even on a busy afternoon, Opahi Bay is only a 45-minute drive from the Harbour Bridge. Once you turn off the old SH1 the road takes you over farmland and you get great views of the Harbour and Sea, whetting your appetite for what you had planned.

What makes this property unique

The LOCATION, is it a 30-second walk to go swimming or is it less?
If you are a Boatie there is a good ramp at the end of the road (4WD recommended if you have a heavy boat) and there still seems to be plenty of fish about.
Plenty to explore as well, Te Miti Beach, Sullivans Bay + more and heading South you can walk right down to the Puhoi River @ Wenderholme, just one small river crossing.
Or you could paddle down there in our Canoe if you dont have your own boat.
