Perfect for any season our Lookout Lodge Castle offers guests the illusion of seclusion as you sit hillside above most of your neighbors with excellent views of the mountains and national forest from the levels of elevated sun decks and big open windows. Three spacious levels of freshly furnished and renovated space provide you with all that you need to enjoy a memorable vacation together under soaring pine trees and shooting stars. Packed with games and a private hot tub to keep you entertained right here at the cabin you may never want to leave!

The massive driveway provides plenty of ample parking year round as you pull up to your Victorian mountain chalet nestled in the trees and unload your group for your vacation. Entering the lower level of your tri-level chalet you are met with a spacious open floor plan which is perfect for entertaining a party or hosting your next family holiday. Enjoy preparing your home cooked meals and family feasts here at the cabin in the fully equipped chef's kitchen which offers oak cabinets stocked full of cookware and utensils along with stainless appliances including a dishwasher for a breezy cleanup. The formal dining room areas offer plenty of space to enjoy your meals together as a group and is complete with great forested views of the neighborhood outside. Snuggle up around the toasty fireplace and warm your toes together as you pop on a movie on the mounted flat screen TV and watch the snow fall from the big open windows in the cozy living room area or head up to the game room to enjoy a game of pool on the billiards table.

There is plenty of sprawling space for a large family, group retreat, or just a getaway with friends here at Lookout Lodge Castle, even a separate laundry room area with a washer and dryer for those wet snow clothes or extended visits is on hand and will definitely come in handy. Big Bear GOOD NEIGHBOR POLICY is enforced at all times during your stay and includes removing trash from the property to local trash sites, washing dishes to alleviate wild animals being attracted to neighborhoods. NO PARTIES OR EVENTS, No Over Occupancy, No Loud Music, and No Street Parking is allowed in Big Bear homes at any time. This policy along with a rental agreement will be emailed to you immediately after booking and is REQUIRED by the City of Big Bear Lake for all rentals in Big Bear. If found in violation of these policies guests will be visited by staff and Code Enforcement officers who may or may not issue fines or evictions to the violating party members. No Smoking is allowed in any Big Bear homes.

Winter Snow & Parking- During winter months the driveways, steps, porches, decks, and other outdoor areas at your property may not be accessible due to snow or ice. Our teams are on fixed routes for snow and work alongside city and county resources to clear roads, driveways, walkways etc. Guests should be prepared in winter months to shovel themselves in or out of the property and off of the street in these snowstorm events. As there is no street parking allowed in Big Bear it is extremely important that guests make every attempt to get vehicles off the street for the snowplows. California Law requires that vehicles traveling to Big Bear from November thru April have snow chains in their vehicles however we also recommend proper footwear, an emergency kit, and an extra snow shovel.

Though individually owned and decorated all homes will be equipped with clean linens, blankets, pillows, and fresh bath towels for the occupancy of your property. Each home has a full kitchen with basic pots, pans, dishes, and a small starter amount of dish soap, toilet paper, and trash bags will be supplied. Your home will not be supplied with paper towels, coffee filters or coffee, specialty kitchen items or appliances, condiments or oils, bathrooms soaps or lotions and hair dryers.

There is no Pay-Per-View access or Ordering of Viewing options in any of our Big Bear homes.

No refunds or credits will be made for cancellations or trip interruptions due to acts of nature, weather, road conditions, mechanical or electrical failures, spa malfunctions, TV or other equipment factors beyond our control.

Big Bear is a mountain community located in a deep forest which is also home to many forest critters. Common animals or insects that you may encounter are spiders, moths, flies, squirrels, gophers, bears, coyotes, burro, bear, bats, etc. Our team inspects every home prior to your arrival but cannot guarantee that the home will be free of these forest animals or pests.

Big Bear Vacations reserves the right to offer a comparable property or issue a full refund if circumstances arise that are beyond our control and your property is made unavailable for any reason.
