Outstanding stay, very responsive Host and a family friendly environment would stay here every time we come to this area. I highly recommend this property.
Perfect place for us as we explored Schoodic Penninsula and down East Maine.
Well set up. Nicely labeled drawers. Extra towels and sheets. Lots of room for 3 people with TV area, dining area and visiting area.
Owner very responsive by text.
We enjoyed our stay.
Following busy days in the harbor or park, we, as country dwellers, welcomed the chance to come 'home' to a house and property that precisely matched the description. Everything was meticulously labeled, generously stocked, and 'move-in ready'! The house, although dated, possessed a captivating sentimental allure and historical essence that delighted us.
We went to Maine to go to Acadia. Not sure where everything was when I booked the BnB. Looked close not realizing you have to go up and around so it was a little far. Honestly it ended up being fine because that’s how all the coast of Maine is. Everything was fine the directions were right on. We are one night at the pickled wrinkle totally recommend it. Had a great time house was perfect not fancy but clean and plenty of room easily sleeps 6 we were only 4. Thank you.
This property was exceptional value. The house is big and beautiful, easily sleep 7 people. I came here to transport to Acadia and it was about a 40 min drive. It’s also very close to fishing ponds (2-5 min). My only complaint is that the property is fairly hard to find, it’s on a remote dirt road and my navigation app did not give me an exact path to the destination, it took some exploring. Outside of that I absolutely recommend this house to others and would book a stay here again without hesitation.
Was a little disappointed in all the grass left on the steps entering the property. I grabbed a broom and swept the steps and landing to avoid tracking grass in. A wasp and several mosquitos were inside the doorway inside which we were able to get rid of and then more mosquitos in a bathroom - We decided to just spend the one night (paid for 2) and left about 6 a.m. the following morning. No decor at all - was adequate for a night - people before us left their trash in the inside trash can...we took it out with ours prior to leaving. On the positive side, there was a good washer and dryer, easy to use and tv was nice - sofa was comfortable - Beds not so much...
This was an easy location to meet up with friends that were staying nearby on Jones Pond. The home was easy to find, very clean, and overall worked perfectly for our needs. The only down-side was the home was really warm when we arrived, and it took a bit to make it cooler since there is no AC. Not all the windows have screens so we couldn't open all of them and the baseboard heating seemed to be on and controlled by two units - instructions for these would have helped. Bedrooms were nice with linens and pillows, bathrooms had plenty of towels and toilet paper but no extra toiletries or hair drier. The kitchen area had some spices and plenty of dishes and supplies. We didn't use the chiminea on the patio as it looked a bit worn and cracked. The place seems a bit outdated but it's completely functional and comfortable and we'd stay here again. :)
