The Garret Studio suite is part of the renovation of the former Rundles restaurant with original features retained from the original owner's suite. With its sloped ceilings, marble fireplace and tall windows with antique indoor shutters it evokes a spacious garret. it is furnished with a mix of bright mid-century furniture and a striking custom "sweater-striped" carpet, a loveseat is an eggyolk yellow felted-wood Danish design, the moulded plywood dining chairs are vintage Stratford, dating from post WW11 at the Canadian Wooden Airplane Co. The Clark McDougall painting is from the owner's collection. It has been completely refreshed and it is accessible from York Lane, immediately behind 9 Cobourg Street.

seven&nine inn is located in the downtown Stratford Heritage District, directly across from beautiful Lake Victoria. The inn, for self-catered stays, is composed of two adjacent buildings which are outstanding examples of modern architecture, complementing the original historic building dating to 1885.

What makes this property unique

The architecture includes the Tower House at 7 Cobourg St, an important work of modern architecture designed by Shim-Sutcliffe Architects. At 9 Cobourg St. they designed renovation and additions to the former Rundles restaurant.
