Within two hours scenic drive from Sydney or Canberra is Lothlorien, a gorgeous five acre property, nestling below the Black Ash Nature Reserve high on Berry Mountain. Lothlorien lies halfway between Berry and Kangaroo Valley, a scenic ten minute drive in either direction. The self-contained timber Yurt offers an unpretentious and cosy hideaway for two. This guesthouse, is separate from the main house on the property and set in an old orchard tucked into the edge of the rainforest. Short walks offer exhilarating views of the scenic Wattamolla Valley and dramatic escarpments edging the Budderoo National Park. Unwind by the firepit in the evening and relax under a blanket of stars, enjoying a glass of wine or roasting marshmallows. (Some firewood provided and additional wood easily available from the service station in Berry or Kangaroo Valley, just a 10-minute drive away). Wombats, Echidnas, Possums and Sugar Gliders are regulars at Lothlorien. A short morning walk often averages between twenty to thirty species of birds, depending on the season. Over 200 species have been recorded within a 25 kilometre radius. Within a ten minute drive, are the antiques, arts and crafts of Berry and Kangaroo Valley. Within twenty minutes are the Shoalhaven River, the beautiful Seven Mile Beach and several notable wineries. Barren Grounds Nature Reserve and other National Parks are thirty to forty minutes away.

Loved the Yurt. Sadly cooking equipment absolute minimum and bbq only to cook on.
Linen excellent but need etc t-towels and hand towels. Photos of view in advertisements is view from
Owners house not Yurk. Owners house needs privacy hedge or screen to make guests more comfortable.
Had a nice time with my partner due to bush setting.
Property is stunning, decent privacy from the main house, but they did have work men there who were walking by the front door back and forth for 2 hours as soon as we got there, so had to have it all closed up for privacy.. im sure that will be a one off but ruined it a bit. minimal essentials so take things u may need.. the owner was very welcoming and helpful with info on the area and the property. Would deffinatly stay again but for longer to be able to enjoy it a bit more. P.s the bed is to die for, i havnt slept that well in a long time
