GB’s Grand Bach

This whanau style holiday home in Ōmāpere has all your whanau needs for a comfortable stay. GB’s Grand Bach is located on Pakia Hill overlooking the magnificent Hokianga Harbour and only a 5 minute walk to the beach, shops, boat ramp, Heads Hokianga and Gas Station. GB’s Grand Bach is located on Bryers whenua, historically built as Panorama Tearooms in 1982 and more recently run as The Schooner Café. Enjoyed throughout the years by whanau, friends and travellers.

Sit on our large private deck and take in the views of the beautiful Hokianga Harbour.
Ample Car parking with room to park the boat and Jet ski.

GB’s Grand Bach caters for families with 2 bedrooms both with Queen beds, and a communal whanau room that sleeps up to 6 people, with 4 single beds, and a set of single bunks. We have a portable cot available on request. This house boast a spacious kitchen, dining, and living area. Two bathrooms with shower and toilet in each, and laundry facilities.


Guest accommodation at GB’s offers TV with Freeview, BBQ, Heat pump, Iron and Ironing Board, Bedding. This accommodation is furnished with dining tables and breakfast bar, Kitchens offer fridges, stovetops, microwaves and kitchenware and utensils.

Great Easter weekend

Lovely relaxing property. Fantastic deck. Plenty of room for our party of four and parking for vehicles. The listing does say hot tub, but we could not find it in the vacinity of the property.

Incredible views...fabulous host!

GB is such a wonderful host, and the bach is brilliant. Incredible views. The house works really well, plenty of space and did I mention the views? The kitchen is very well stocked with equipment, a huge oven and plenty of bench space. Would highly recommend it.

Highly Recommend GB Grand, Ōmāpere

Our whānau had the most wonderful stay at GB Grand Bach. Beautiful, clean property with the most incredible views of the Hokianga Harbour. Extremely friendly and welcoming host, making sure you have everything you need. She also has lovely mokopuna that my daughter enjoyed playing with and made good use of the trampoline. Only a short walk to the beach and lookout point. Highly recommend for a relaxing time away.

Great communication prior. Check in was easy. House is so lovely. We are determined to come back again! Expansive views over the harbour, and a deck with a shade cover which is superb. Kitchen is very thoughtfully set up. Comfy beds. Worth being aware you need to go through the whanau room to get to the other bedrooms. Lovely little track down to road by beach. (5 mins walk). 5 mins walk to good coffee.

So Amazing Haramai te ātaahua!

He wāhi pai, he ātaahua te tirohanga, he mā te whare, he hāneanea te noho, kei te whare ngā mea katoa e hiahiatia ana. Ka mutu ko te kaiwhakahaere, ko Kelly, he wāhine pai. Great location, beautiful views, very clean, well set up and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Kelly the manager is great to deal with.
