About the host
Hosted by Frank
“Tangara” lives up to its indigenous name, as an ideal place for a couple to “Let’s get away together”. This recently renovated studio retreat for two people is within walking distance of the surf beach and easy access to the seaside holiday village at Inverloch. It is a studio apartment above a home used by a couple.
This has been our beach house for nearly a decade, recently we relocated to Inverloch and have renovated the Studio apartment. We look forward to sharing our beautiful space and love of the area with our guests.

Why they chose this property
Inverloch is great for long weekends or summer escapes and Tangara is only 10 minutes’ walk to the stunning Inverloch surf beach with great coffee at the SLSC kiosk from 9am-3pm and drinks at the Top Deck from 4-8pm in January, BYO food. Three Patches winery is just up the road with fabulous grazing platters or just around the corner Bluette on Bear café does delicious breaky and lunches.
Inverloch is perfect for all water sports: swimming, surfing, paddleboarding and more at the numerous beaches; the surf beach is great to ride the waves, whereas Main beach is a popular family spot with calmer waters.
There are 2 pubs and a dozen cafes and restaurants; with great fish and chips, tasty Chinese and delicious Pizzas. The area is renown for its local produce. The Inverloch local produce market on the 3rd Saturday of the month, as well as the Kongwak trash and treasure market is every Sunday.
Inverloch offers an array of things to do and see; walks; bike rides, up to the Bluff. There’s the 2km Screw Creek nature walk taking you through mangroves and grasslands. The well-known George Bass 7km coastal walk taking in the clifftops from San Remo to Kilcunda. If it's bird watching the Ayre Creek 3.4km walk is a great
Inverloch is well known for it's Dinosaur discoveries with over 20,000 Dinosaur fossils discovered around Inverloch in the last 40 years alone.
Located on Toorak Road, Tangara, leads directly to town, public transport is an option with buses to Inverloch's many cafes, restaurants, and great shops.
Within the local region explore the wineries and cheese factories. Every weekend there is a nearby local market to explore or a pub with live music. We're a short drive from Phillip Island and the infamous penguins. There are also many local Gippsland towns within a 20-minute drive including Loch; home to the famous Loch Gin Distillery or Korrumburra; home to The Burra Brewery.
Frank is a keen fisherman ... and the Bass coast is a fisherman's heaven.
