We were not satisfied with our stay. There was a bad smell throughout the property, cockroaches in the kitchen, and the couches and seating were dirty. Cleanliness needs serious improvement. The access to the property was difficult and poorly maintained. We paid for two nights but decided to leave after one night because we were not able to relax in these conditions.
The house was clean tidy, had lovely furniture a great view with the river right at the bottom of the garden, we spent the day kayaking and fishing it was idilic.
Comfortable and suited our needs quite well
Access to the property is down a steep path and may be challenging for people with mobility issues. Internal spiral stairs will be challenging for some.
Lovely views, comfortable house - friendly bird life
Very nicely done , only negative no fly screens on windows , also no milk for coffee would be nice little touches candles and citronella against insects , also 2 of the out door chairs are pretty gross, need cleaning
Lovely home beautiful outlook , need a BBQ , never occured to us there would not be one in this location, and more comfortable furniture for deck (does not have to be expensive just comfortable) spent most of the time on the deck and the furniture was very average, smoke detectors over stove (rangehood not working) and fireplace stupid, of course they went off when cooking, need top sheet as well as doona on beds for hygeine as well as comfort, lots of light globes blown throughout, we did enjoy ourselves but these few things would elevate the experience.

Nice house, strange location
The house was clean and comfortable and fitted out with modern furniture. However the bathrooms constantly had a moist smell. The path down to the house was steep and uneven - quite difficult for our older family member to access. We travelled with an infant and the house was very dangerous for under 3s, with a steep spiral staircase and large gaps in rails. The TV did not work and there was no phone reception. Very little to do in the area. Lots of strange interactions with locals and the area didn't feel very safe. However, the wildlife was amazing and the house itself was quite peaceful.

Hi Jane,
Thanks for your review. The path down to the home does require some care in wet conditions. The TV is fully operational and you have several streaming options available. If you had trouble operating the TV you could have reached out for assistance. We have only ever experienced positive interactions with the local community and in over 100 guests, nobody has ever expressed this concern. Feel free to contact me with specifics and we will follow up.
